Jess hand shook all through the night and shook even now as she sat in front of Sarah as she did Jess’s make-up. Jess was already dressed in her first outfit. It was a long, white, turtleneck, knit dress that stopped at her knees, pared with a black heel and black belt. Jess had also worn a white long sleeve underneath the dress, just to have something more protecting her from the cold air, it was clear that it would soon be winter.

Jess just laid there. Sarah and Mike tried to talk to Jess, but she couldn’t hear them, she didn’t want to. All Jess wanted, was for it all to end. Each breath she inhaled and exhaled pained her.
