Confrontation

As I stepped into the garden, seeking solace amidst the fragrant blooms and lush greenery, I didn't expect to find anyone else there. The cool breeze brushed against my skin, carrying with it a sense of calm that seemed elusive within the confines of the house.

But as I rounded a bend in the path, my heart skipped a beat at the sight that greeted me. Standing amidst the vibrant array of flowers, his back turned to me, was a figure I knew all too well.
