Accident

Despite my anger and grief, Trence didn't leave. Instead, he pleaded with me, his voice filled with desperation as he begged for forgiveness. But with each word he uttered, the pain of what he had done to our child gnawed at me, hardening my heart against his pleas. He kneeled in front of me.

"I'm begging you, Friah," Trence implored, his voice thick with sadness. "Please find it in your heart to forgive me. I can't bear to see you like this, to know that I'm the reason our son is gone and our daughter is fighting for her life."

But my resolve remained steadfast, a wall of anger and resentment separating me from him. "How can you expect me to forgive you?" I shot back, my voice laced with bitterness. "If you had never come back into my life, none of this would have happened."

"And it's 'MY' son, Trence. You are not the father of my child," I emphasize, my voice cold and filled with resentment. "You are not the man I thought you were. There is no forgiveness for what you have done."
