I found myself at home alone and wondered how I’d gone through the rest of my day. I had another class after this morning, and somehow, I’d acted normal through it, though I ended up skipping lunch at the faculty room because I didn’t think I could act normal around the other professors.

Now that I had privacy, the panic was back.

What would I do if that girl insisted on asking what was up, and he said something to her? If rumors got around, even if he didn’t confirm anything, my reputation would be ruined.
