Chapter Twenty-Five

Kristen takes her leave, disappearing into the galley, which apparently has accommodations for her to put her feet up until called upon again.

I’m a little too amped to sit and chill, so I cross to the credenza to check out the offerings.

Jameson steps behind me, his warm breath on my neck, his hand on my hip.

His head dips and he tells me, “You’re doing quite nicely, Miss St. Claire.”

“The hell I am,” I quietly retort. “My mind is shattered and I can’t think straight. There is an outrageous buzzing through my body and I’m craving something elusive that isn’t even offered on this tray of decadence.”

“I’m to read between the lines here, correct?”

I snicker.

His lips brush my skin as he murmurs, “I can cure all your cravings.”
