Ch69: You are my wife

Goosebumps formed all over my skin when he asked me that. My lips moved for a while, but I just did not know what to say.

“Honey, do you have any? Why aren't you saying anything?“ He asked again, moving closer to me.

And all I could do was shake my head at him. “You won't do this to me, Xin. Why are you always so heartless?“ I asked.

When I signed the divorce papers five years ago, I did not ever think about having a copy for myself. I had left it at his house without even taking a picture of it.

I was so naive at that time that I didn't even have a lawyer for myself. How could I be that stupid? I didn't have any proof that we were divorced.

“Do what, darling? I'm not hurting you. I just want to give you the life that you deserve, okay?“ He asked and leaned closer to me.

I shook my head at him. “I don't want that life. My son and I have been doing just fine. Why don't you leave us alone?“ I asked. That was what I wanted. I didn't want any more connection with him.

But his expression t
