Isabella woke up feeling a lot better than she did the previous day. After returning from the hospital last night, she had been so weak that she went straight to her bed without bothering to change her clothes or even take a hot bath.

She thought about everything that happened yesterday and shook her head. Angelo was certainly going to be the death of her. She needed to take the drugs the doctor had prescribed for her but before then she needed to eat.

She quickly brushed her teeth and took a hot bath, after which she put on a simple gown, tied her hair, and went into the kitchen.

She noticed that Angelo was cooking and was very shocked. With his huge size, no one would expect that he knew how to cook.

But was he cooking for just himself or both of them? When he had been dead drunk, she had made herbal soup for him. Could it be that he was trying to return the favor and cook for her because she was sick?
