“ Ok, enough, enough. You two might end up hanging each other in no time” Leriel said coming between the two teenagers who were still firing insults at each other.

They both huffed, looking away with folded arms.

“ Good” Leriel complimented with a smile while Ben just nodded sideways.

“ Now, we should get going, right?” Leriel added pointing to the door.

“ Yeah we should. You’re all ready?” Ben asked, referring to Hudson and Alvara. They both replied with a nod.

Leriel led the way while Ben trailed after followed by Hudson and Alvara.

On getting outside, they all saw a car( an SUV) situated not far from them.

Entering the car , Leriel drove off. They drove for a couple of minutes before Hudson spoke up.

“ It’s knda wired, I just noticed something” He said, turning everyone’s attention to him.

“ Which is?” Ben asked.

“ You said the Sentinels knows about the hideout, right?” Hudson asked and Ben nodded.

“ Then why didn’t they come for us like you said. It’s already past 7 plus I don’t feel their presence anywhere around” Hudson said and they hummed.

“ You’re right Hudson, why aren’t the after us?” Alvara asked no one in particular.

“ Chill guys. The Sentinels won’t come after us” Leriel assured.

“ What made you so sure?” Ben asked.

“ Cause I didn’t take the usual road. This is a narrow and lonely route towards the border and just a few people know about this place” Leriel explained and they all heaved.

“ Thank goodness. That was smart of you” Ben said.

Alvara looked up and saw something which made her eyes widen a bit.

“ Ermm…Eclipse, why are their guards at the checkpoint,?” She asked and Hudson looked up.

“ Fuck, we’re trapped. How are we gonna pass them? What if they work for the Sentinel, we’re doomed for life” He panicked.

“ We better turn back Eclipse” Alvara said, her hear beating hard against her chest.

“ Chill guys, you scare too much” Leriel said and pulled over on reaching the checkpoint.

“ They are my friends. Just watch” He winked and just then a guard approached.

Leriel winced down the window immediately and on seeing him, a smile formed on the guards lips.

“ Hey buddy” Leriel greeted.

“ What’s up Leriel” The guard greeted back.

“ I’m cool. Erm, as you can see I’ve got some friends I need to keep safe………

“ Oh sure, I understand” The guard said. He signaled the other guard and the checkpoint was opened

“ Thanks Jerry” Leriel said.

“ Sure, anytime” Jerry replied.

“ Have a safe trip” He added and Leriel waved at him before driving off with a smirk on his face.

All these while, Hudson and Alvara was watching with parted lips.

“ Wow that was easy” They both exclaimed, relaxing fully on the sit.

“ Thank goodness. We’re safe now” Hudson heaved.

“ Oh-oh” Alvara exclaimed with widened eyes. Hudson frowned a brow at her before looking up and his eyes also widened.

“ And I spoke too soon” He muttered and Leriel pulled over immediately.

Standing before them were 4 cars lined up and on the first car, some groups of Sentinel officers were standing, each pointing a gun at them.

Leriel slowly stepped out of the car, followed by Ben who stood beside him, then Alvara who stood beside Ben, then Hudson.

They were glaring at the Sentinels, the strong breeze ruffling their hair against their faces.

The door of the second car opened and two figure stepped out, each with a grin on their faces.

“ Matteo” Ben cursed under his breath.

“ Going somewhere, Bernard” Matteo grinned.

“ Oh and looks like the two monsters are also with him, sorry I mean 3 actually” Liam said.

“ You know we’re gonna make it easy for you guys, just surrender” Matteo said.

“ Why should we surrender?” Hudson asked angrily.

“ Monsters are meant to surrender” Liam replied.

“ We ain’t monsters” Hudson roared and the ground shook.

“ Fine then, let’s do it the hard way” Matteo resorted.

“ Fire” He commanded, referring to the group of Sentinel cops.

They all started firing at them but immediately Alvara created a siege by gathering molecules together to form a strong and firm bubble. The bullet’s hit the bubble and bounced back to the cops and they all slumped to the floor.

Liam and Matteo’s eyes widened in shock and they stepped back slowly.

Liam fired a bullet at Leriel, who emitted light from his palm melting the bullet to the ground, making Liam startle back in fear.

Hudson created a wave, sending all the cars including Liam and Matteo flying to the air. Liam and Matteo crashed to a tree and fell with a loud thud on the floor while all the cars crushed to the floor, shattering to pieces.

“ Let’s go” Leriel said and they all rushed the car. Entering, Leriel drove off. Soon the sound of sirens was heard and Hudson looked back. 4 cars were after them.

“ Fuck, they’re behind” Hudson cursed, making Leriel increase the speed of the car.

The Sentinels started firing at their car. They targeted the tire of the car, trying to damage it but immediately, Leriel reversed, heading into the woods, not minding the gallops they encountered

The Sentinels also headed to the woods, firing at the car. 3 bullets hit the rear windshield glass of the car and it shattered, making Hudson and Alvara bend their heads to prevent being hit mistakenly by the bullet. The bullet flew through the windshield, shattering it to pieces too.

“ Fuck” Ben cursed and Leriel looked back to see how close the Sentinels are.

“ Eclipse, watch out, the tree” Alvara yelled and Leriel turned. He tried pulling the brake but it too late as the car crashed at the tree. They all startled forward but was drawn back by their seatbelts.

     

Freeing themselves from the seatbelt, they all stepped out of the car, rushing inside the abandoned warehouse before them, running as fast as they could.

The Sentinels halted before the warehouse and they all climbed down. Their commander in charge, Lucan, growled angrily.

“ I think it’s time for plan B” He muttered.

“ Release all the robots immediately” He commanded.

“ Yes, Sir”

A huge truck pulled over and the back door flung open and immediately, hundreds of robots with sharp razor blade arms and eyes bloody red, rushed out of the truck into the warehouse.

Leriel, Hudson, Alvara and Ben stopped abruptly when they couldn’t run any further. Before them was a huge wall, indicating that they were trapped.

They all ran back but stopped when they saw hundreds of robots rushing towards them. Turning to their left and right, robots were also rushing, it dawned to them that they’ve been surrounded.

They looked at each other then back to robots before stepping back slowly, panting heavily. 

“ I think it’s time for action guys” Ben said.

The robots advanced towards them and immediately, Alvara and Hudson created a strong wave, sending all the robots crashing to the wall. But to their surprise, all the robots stood up without a single scratch on their body.

Five advanced towards Leriel and he quickly emitted light from his palm with the purpose of melting down the robots but to his dismay, the robots absorbed the light, charging them even the more.

“ What the…” Leriel shuttered in shock.

Ben grabbed a rod he saw, sending any robot that advanced towards him flying to the air. He targeted one on the arm, disengaging it from its body. A satisfactory smirk formed on his lips but it quickly vanished when the arm of the robot regenerated.

“ What!” He half yelled and Alvara and Hudson watched in dismay, their jaw dropped open.

A robot grabbed Ben by his arm, flinging him off as he crashed on the wall.

“ Dad!” Hudson yelled.

Another robot grabbed Leriel by the neck, marking a cut on his neck but it wasn’t that deep. Blood rolled down as Leriel struggled to break free from its grip but the robot held his neck tighter, sending him to the wall too.

Uncontrollably rage ran through Hudson and Alvara.

“ Enough!” Both of them growled angrily and the walls of the building started cracking and the windows bursted to pieces.

They both tightened their fist, their eyes closed as they felt the rush of power inside them.

“ Hudson, Alvara, no!” Ben yelled trying to stop them but it was kinda late as Alvara and Hudson let out a loud scream in anger.

Everywhere shook violently and the building started collapsing. All the robots shattered to pieces at the high pitch of their scream. The ceiling of the building started falling off and the floor cracked open.

A bright purple light shone on the building, interrupting Hudson and Alvara’s scream. They both turned behind, whole and behold, before them was a large circle, a portal instead and two people stepped out of the portal, before it vanishes.

“ Paisley, John” Leriel exclaimed happily.

Paisley is an average lady with a lilac skin, eyes with no visible pupil which was green in color, a pink hair with full lips. Not to forget about the strange facial marking just before her eyebrows.

John on the other, possibly in his 30’s, is a tall, muscular guy with dark brown eyes, short black hair and a tan complexion. He wore a leather vest revealing the Native American bird tattooed on his left arm.

“ Thank goodness you guys came” Ben heaved, getting on his feet, despite the pain all over his body.

“ Who are you two?” Hudson and Alvara asked.

“ Right now, I don’t think that question should be asked” Paisley replied.

“ We need to leave or else in no time we’ll all be buried together” John said, looking over to Paisley who understood what the gesture meant.

She stepped back a bit and created a big portal but it wasn’t that strong due to the building was collapsing.

“ Hurry everyone, I can’t hold it much longer” Paisley said. Hudson and Alvara entered first, followed by Leriel then John.

Just when Ben was about entering, a gunshot was heard. Ben slumped to the floor, holding his left leg as blood roll down.

“ Dad” Hudson yelled trying to step out of the portal but was held back by Leriel.

“ You can’t step out of the portal” He said.

“ But…Dad….

Paisley entered the portal, stretching out her hand towards Ben.

“ Here, grab my hands” She said and Ben looked up. He made to stand but his leg was already paralyzed. Turning back, he could see Sentinel officers rushing towards them.

“ You guys should go ahead without me, I’ll be fine” He said.

“ Just grab my hands, quick. I can’t hold the portal much longer but I can still save you” Paisley said.

Ben stretched out his hand and just when Paisley was about grabbing his hand, she lost control of the portal and it closed up.

“ Dad, no!!!!!!!!!!
