Chapter 8: You Want To Know The Answer?

At a quick pace, the man stretched his hands to Kendra. She felt so terrified that she sat on the ground and couldn’t move at all.

Suddenly, Kendra heard a wolf roaring that added constant fear to her. She turned around and saw a pair of green eyes. For an instant, many similar pictures flashed across Kendra’s mind. She seemed to see that face and eyes before.

“Who are you?” She summoned enough courage to ask while her body trembled.

“You smell so good!” The man sighed inwardly.

Through the moonlight, Kendra finally saw his face. In terror, she recognized him. It was Lendon!

Lendon suddenly held Kendra and threw her to bed before Kendra realized what happened. He lay on Kendra’s body and rubbed her hair.

Kendra almost broke down. What the hell was Lendon doing?

Lendon smelled Kendra’s body greedily and murmured, “That’s the smell.”

“Lendon! What are you doing? What’s the test?” Kendra looked at Lendon unbelievably and asked.

“You want to know the answer?” Lendon stared at Kendra and said, “Alexis’s test is to let me have you again on a full moon night.”

Kendra felt so desperate. She realized everything. It was a lie. Alexis didn’t tell her the truth because he wanted her to stay here. His test was so gross!

Kendra looked to Lendon again and found that his face turned to a wolf’s face.

Kendra screamed in horror and said, “It’s you! It's you! A monster!”

“I thought you lost your memory. You remember me now?” Lendon's laugh echoed that made her more terrified as she stared at him. 

Kendra recalled everything gradually, the castle, the wolf, and the green eyes. Suddenly, Kendra widened her eyes and remembered every single detail. That night, she ran into this castle and was forced by Lendon. And when she woke up the next day, she forgot everything that happened on that particular night.

“It seems that you recall everything.” Lendon ran tiny kisses on Kendra’s neck and said.

Kendra pushed Lendon away and grabbed a glass bottle aiming at him. “Don’t come here!” She shouted.

Lendon smiled evilly and said, “I don’t like naughty girls.” His voice sounded so creepy.

“Don’t come here! Don’t come here!” Kendra shouted and cried desperately.

Lendon grabbed Kendra’s feet and lay on her body again.

Kendra struggled and suddenly slapped his face without hesitation. Lendon couldn’t believe what happened and stayed still. The next second, Kendra got up and left his body immediately.

Lendon followed Kendra and wanted to get her back.

“Don’t come here! I will jump down!” Kendra ran to the balcony and threatened Lendon. She put one of her legs on the handrail.

Lendon stood in the darkness and got infuriated. “Kendra, you will regret this!” He screamed. How did she dare to slap him again and even threaten him?

“I am free. You have no right to force me to do anything. I don’t want to help you!” Kendra shouted. She had done with Lendon’s compelling. She must get rid of him.

“You think you can resist me?” Lendon asked in anger.

As time passed by, the poison got more severe. Lendon’s face turned more and more like a wolf. His teeth also grew longer.

Kendra stared at Lendon and couldn’t even breathe. What did she see? What was wrong with Lendon?

Lendon couldn’t control himself anymore. Kendra’s smell was too attractive, and he couldn’t control his desire. He walked to Kendra slowly and full of determination to have her immediately.

“Don’t come here!” Kendra shouted. Suddenly, she lost her balance and fell down. Kendra closed her eyes. But Lendon pulled her up the next second and locked her body in his arms.

“You want to die? It’s not that easy.” Lendon growled.

Kendra opened her eyes and looked into Lendon’s green eyes. “Let me go!” She begged and struggled to break free from his grasp.

Lendon stared at Kendra and grabbed her chin. “You slapped me again. I must punish you. You can’t run away tonight.” He said and suddenly lowered his head and kissed Kendra’s lips forcibly.

Kendra struggled, but she was too weak compared to Lendon.

Lendon enjoyed Kendra’s taste and said, “Since you like the balcony, we can make love here, honey.”

“No!” Kendra shouted. The nightmare happened. But this time, Kendra saw Lendon’s face and knew who he was. She understood that she couldn’t resist him at all. During the whole process, Kendra closed her eyes and refused to accept it.

“Look at me!” Lendon warned.

Kendra ignored his words and still closed her eyes. She wanted to keep her last dignity for herself.

“No matter how you deny it, it is happening!” Lendon whispered. He wanted to break Kendra’s defense totally.

The following day, Kendra woke up when the sunshine fell on her. She felt so much pain all over her body.

Kendra looked at her body, and there were full bruises that Lendon left, clear evidence of what had happened last night. She wanted to get up but kneeled as soon as she stood on the floor. She lost all her power and couldn’t stand up at all.

“Miss Miller.” Curtis dashed in to help her stand up, but Kendra pushed his hands and didn’t say a word. Curtis and Alexis lied to her together. She would never trust them again.

“Miss Miller, Mr. Martin wants you to have breakfast in the dining hall.” Curtis smiled and said gently.

Kendra got up and sat in bed. “When will you let me go?” She asked coldly.

“After last night, Mr. Martin decided to let you stay here until Alexis extracted the cure from you.” Curtis looked at Kendra with pity and said.

What the hell? “What do you want from me? I thought he just had anxiety.” Kendra leaned against the bed and said weakly.

“Anxiety is one of them. Ten years ago, Mr. Martin was infected with wolf poison during his training as a successor of his family. He couldn't figure out how it occurred to him. Since then, he would turn to a wolf every full moon night. Before you appeared, Mr. Martin could only control the poison by taking special medicine. But Alexis suddenly found that the poison was much lessened when Mr. Martin had body contact with you last month, so we assume it was because of you. Last night,…” Curtis explained.

“Last night, you tested if I am really useful?” Kendra interrupted Curtis and smiled bitterly.

“Don’t feel upset. Mr. Martin will make it up to you. He isn't that bad at all,” Curtis gently said.

“So I have to agree with his decision, is that what you mean?” Kendra bit her lips and asked.

“After Alexis extracts the cure from your body, you can be free. And we will pay you.” Curtis said, “But you can’t tell anyone about Mr. Martin's illness during this period of time. After all, Mr. Martin has lots of enemies, and we must guarantee his safety. Please cooperate with us.”

“Don’t you think you are too egregious?” Kendra glared at Curtis and asked.

Curtis heaved a deep sigh and said, “Miss Miller, I will wait for you in the dining hall.” He pitied her. He knew Kendra was innocent, but he couldn’t do anything to help her.
