78. Mason's POV

I was home in the next five or so hours and I had been gone for approximately twelve hours which felt like an eternity.

Each minute I was away from Alex felt like years and it hurt like a burn wound.

But I knew it was the best I could do and I was even grateful that mom knows a man like Jajo because it would have taken us much much longer otherwise.

My first stop was the bedroom where I knew Alex was and even as I got to the door, I could feel his scent mixed with Tessa's and I fekt my heart relax as i knew I was finally home.

I guess she also could tell that I was back because when she came running towards me, I forgot that I was angry with her as I took her in my arms.
