Chapter one hundred and fifty three

Dipping my feet into the water, chills ran down my spine and I began to walk slowly into the water until the water covered my laps and then my neck. Far apart from me was Aiden, he smiled at me and I dunked my head underneath the water and began doing butterfly strokes.

"Don't go too deep and when you are cold tell me so we could get out of here. Okay?" he said and I nodded. In my head, I asked myself, "Are we not going to swim into ourselves?"

While still lost in my thoughts, I felt his arms around my waist and my eyes widened as he clenched tighter to himself and inhaled. "Let's go swimming. But you know a thought just flashed through my head."

A crazy thought. Smiling at me, he asked, "What's that?" the way he smiles at me every time gets me.

with my hands spread on the surface of the water, I spoke, "Okay, just imagine. Mom had placed a camera in your car and she is watching everything from the house right now while pretending that she knows nothing about what's going on
