Chapter 87: An Almost Perfect Scheme**

Hanna internally thanked him for leaving. Despite her hunger, she pushed the laptop away and rested her head on the table, feeling exhausted and filled with worry.

"I'm so close..." she sighed with a gentle smile. "Soon, you'll receive proper treatment and be able to live again, little brother..." she whispered, closing her eyes slowly and drifting off to sleep. Meanwhile, Morgan had gone to the kitchen and asked one of the maids to prepare a meal for Hanna, remembering he had interrupted her before she could start her lunch.

Morgan didn't let the maid deliver the tray. He took it from her and carried it himself. The food exuded a tantalizing aroma, and he knew Hanna would wake up instantly with the hunger she was feeling. He placed the tray next to her, the hot steam rising from the food. Before leaving, he picked up the box with the new phone and set it on the table, accompanied by a note with a brief handwritten message.

With the secret key she had taken from Lory, she unlocked the door and locked it again from the outside, careful not to alert Liara. On the way to Morgan's office, her heart was pounding. She wondered what awaited her. She had no idea how Maya planned to spend the night with him. One option that crossed her mind was getting him drunk.Entering the office, Hanna sighed in frustration. Morgan was there, but not as she had expected. He had been drinking, and not lightly. Sitting at the edge of a side table, arms crossed and gaze lost in the void, he seemed a different man—worn and distant.Hanna approached cautiously. Morgan's eyes, once bright and penetrating, were now fixed on her with an indecipherable expression. His loosened tie and partially open shirt revealed part of his chest, and his breathing was h

My body is burning.”Hanna pressed her lips together, looking away, her face now flushed.“You feel th

She didn't want to reveal what had transpired the previous night, as shame and guilt consumed her."Hanna, what trouble did you get into this time?""Well... last night Maya was trying to pick a fight, and we argued... It was very serious, Lory!" She explained, jumping off the sofa with an anxious impulse and ruffling her own hair. "Ah..." Chapter 93: IndifferenceThe two men headed to Morgan's office, their footsteps echoing in the silence of the Farrugia mansion. Upon arrival, they settled into the armchairs, waiting for the boss to arrive. Oliver, cautious, had stashed Hanna's necklace in a safe place, avoiding any suspicion."He should be here by now, right?" Gantz questioned, his voice laden with impatience. He stood up and began pacing around the office, his eyes scrutinizing every detail.Suddenly, he paused in front of the bar. The old, rare bottle of red wine caught his attention. Without hesitation, he grabbed a glass and filled it to the brim."What are you doing?" Oliver asked, alarmed. "The boss will punish you if he catches you drinking on the job."Gantz ignored his friend, sitting on one of the stools with the glass in hand. He swirled the wine, appreciating its color and aroma, then took a generous sip."And I would miss out on this opportunity?" he murmured, a satisfied smile forming on his lips. "It w

I still have to go to the mansion now.”Oliver shook his head.“No, you don’t need to. I know very well what happened between you and Morgan. However, there was still one place she dreaded visiting—the hospital room where her father lay. Despite her reluctance, Hanna knew she had to see him, understand his condition, and decide what to do. "Do you really want to see him?" Gabriel asked hesitantly as they stopped in front of the door to the room. Hanna remained silent, her head bowed, displaying apprehension and sorrow. Her emotions were conflicted: she didn’t want her father to die, yet she harbored deep resentment for his actions. "I just don’t want him to die," she admitted, her voice thick with emotion. "It wouldn’t be fair to strip so many people of their freedom for years and then just die like that." "He’s an old man now," Gabriel offered, trying to console her. "Still filled with malice..." Hanna smiled, but it was a disconcerted and melancholic smile. "Can you imagine he wante

**Chapter 160: Lins, My Father?**“How is her health?” the raspy, grating voice of the elderly man echoed in Hanna’s ears. “She’s in quite a weakened state,” the doctor explained. “It seems like she’s been neglected for a long time, which has made her frail. She has a cut on her leg that needs attention because it’s deep enough to get infected, but that’s not even the most critical thing. She’s pregnant.” When the doctor revealed this, Lins raised his eyebrows. “Yes…” he sighed, restless. “I heard she’s married to an important man.” “What do you want me to do regarding the child?” the doctor asked calmly. “Nothing. What do you think should be done?” Lins asked, indifferent. “I thought you might want to terminate the pregnancy,” the doctor commented. “I’m not considering that,” Lins replied firmly. “Let her have the baby. After investigating the hospital and the day she was there, I found out that her ‘perfect husband’ tried to terminate the pregnancy without her consent.
