Chapter 54: Unwanted Visits

A sense of relief washed over Hanna as she opened her eyes and saw Morgan still asleep. It was only five in the morning, and carefully, she slipped out of his arms that were wrapped around her waist, sneaking out of the room. At that hour, no one would see her leave, so she ran to her annex.

Lory was also asleep in her room, and Hanna returned to her bed, sinking back into sleep. A pang of longing hit her as she felt the coldness of the mattress, unused for days.

It was already eight in the morning, and she was still sleeping deeply when someone shook her forcefully.

She was thrilled to face those crowded corridors."Finally, right?" she heard the familiar voice waiting for her."Hi, Misaluna..." Hanna sighed excitedly, hugging her carefully."Where are you taking me? I want to live dangerously!" Misaluna asked eagerly."Forget that for a while. For now, I want to study," Hanna sighed apprehensively, but Misaluna felt a glimmer of hope."That's great! Your student loan has already been paid off too, I was surprised," Misaluna said."I thought you had something to do with it," Hanna frowned in confusion."No, I even tried, but they said it had already been paid. "Do you really want to see him?" Gabriel asked hesitantly as they stopped in front of the door to the room. Hanna remained silent, her head bowed, displaying apprehension and sorrow. Her emotions were conflicted: she didn’t want her father to die, yet she harbored deep resentment for his actions. "I just don’t want him to die," she admitted, her voice thick with emotion. Hanna smiled, but it was a disconcerted and melancholic smile. "Can you imagine he wante
