"I’m sorry, Hanna, but you can’t run away like this. It’s a good thing I saw you leave," he said, stirring sadness and tears in Hanna. But he merely broke the bracelet she wore. "Davis can track you with this, that’s how he found you at the police station. If you ran away with it, you’d just be taking a stroll," he finished, leaving Hanna alone.

He released her arm afterward and averted his gaze.

"You're not going to tell him?" she asked, suspicious.

"No. Even though I’ve been Davis' bodyguard and friend for years, that doesn’t change the fact that I’m still against what he wants to do. A sane human wouldn’t do this," he said calmly, but Hanna was now deep in thought, analyzing him.

"Your daughter?" she asked curiously, drawing a confused look from Rudan. "This time you’ve taken care of me, somehow it made me think you were looking after me like a father," she said, smiling gently. "Where’s your daughter?"
