Maya felt her chest tighten and even thought it might be better if he died now rather than continue suffering. But she couldn't hold back. She ran towards her mother and tried to pull the injection from her hand.

'Why are you trying to take his life?' Maya asserted, gripping her mother. Liara, though surprised, had no intention of backing down.

'Maya... what are you doing? This is the perfect chance to get rid of this burden.' She said angrily. 'What will you say if they find out about this strange child? Shouldn't we get rid of it? If you wanted to get rid of him in the past by handing him over and pretending he didn't exist, it means you never loved that dying child!'

Liara pulled the syringe from Maya's hand, who continued to fight against her.
