Obstacles
Eva froze when his lips touched hers. He is her friend and friends do not kiss each other like this. They will not take a bath with each other under one shower head either. She is confused. She wants him to kiss her and make her forget Jake. But they are not supposed to be doing this.
After tonight, she is more determined than ever to try and cancel her marriage with Jake. But that doesn't mean she can have an affair with Xavier. He is still her would-be brother-in-law's best friend and she might have to meet him every now and then. And she is still Jake's intended, completely off-limits to Xavier. She should have pushed him away the moment he stripped her naked, But she didn't. She should have told him no when he joined her in the shower, but she didn't.
At least now she should push him away and remind him that she is still someone else's intended, even though she is not going to marry Jake. If that failed, then she will take Cassy's advice and run away
