Fever
The next morning, Eva woke up feeling sore all over her body. But this time, it's because of the nasty fall and all the running she did to escape from Jake's friends.
"Hmm" she moaned with discomfort, immediately alerting Damien.
His eyes snapped open and he looked at his angel who has her head laid on his naked chest.
"Angel? Are you alright?" he asked with concern.
She mumbled something inaudible. Her eyes are still closed, but he noticed that her body is burning up. He placed his palm on her forehead to feel her temperature. Like he suspected, she has a high fever.
"Angel, you are burning up," he said, but he didn't receive any response from her. He looked at the time at noticed that it's still early, It's 4 am.
