Gaby returned home and remained vigilant to everything that was happening. She discovered that men were watching her and somehow they might have uncovered her identity. However, she didn't feel the urge to interfere. For now, her investigation had concluded until Taylor made a misstep and they discovered something.

But nothing seemed right. Another week passed, and Richard was still confined to a bed, seemingly improving. The fake Elizabeth was taking good care of him, administering his medicine at least three times a day.

As every day began, the fake Elizabeth served him breakfast, and he would then sleep heavily while she secretly administered the injection. After explaining the injection, she would lock the door, undress him, and with a basin of water and a cloth, she cleaned his body. After each meal, he slept for almost three hours.

While wiping his chest for a moment, she stopped the fabric on his skin, looking at him with apprehension.
