DANGER IN THE SHADOWS

Maya's head was still spinning as she tried to process what had just happened. They had used the device to escape the facility, but at what cost?

Aria and Arin looked just as shaken, their faces pale and their eyes wide with fear. Asher, on the other hand, seemed to be in control, his eyes fixed on the door as if he was waiting for something.

Asher turned to her, his expression grim. "We need to get out of here," he said. "We don't know how long it will take for Ryder to realize what's happened."

Maya's heart sank as she realized the truth. They had escaped the facility, but they were still in danger. Ryder would stop at nothing to get them back, and they had to be prepared.

Aria and Arin nodded, their faces set in determination. Maya knew that they were in this together, and they would do whatever it took to stay safe.
