Ryker's eyes were fixed on the road ahead, his expression grim as he navigated the winding mountain roads. Ariana's hand was still on Maya's arm, her grip reassuring as they bounced along the rough terrain.

Maya's heart was still racing from the sighting of the SUV, her mind racing with possibilities. Who was following them? And why?

As they rounded a bend in the road, Ryker slowed the truck to a stop. "We're here," he said, his voice low.
