Maya's eyes scanned the surrounding woods, her heart still racing from their frantic escape. She had so many questions, but Echo just shook her head.

"We can't stay here," Echo said, her voice low and urgent. "We need to keep moving."

Maya nodded, still trying to process everything that had happened. She followed Echo, her senses on high alert as they navigated the dense woods.

As they walked, Maya's mind kept wandering back to Asher's warning. Who was after them? And why?

After what felt like hours, Echo finally stopped, her eyes scanning their surroundings.

"We're here," she said, her voice barely above a whisper.

Maya looked around, but all she saw was a small, rundown cabin in the middle of the woods.

"Where is here?" Maya asked, her voice confused.

Echo's expression was grim. "This is a safe house," she said. "We can stay here for a while."
