The inside of the house of bamboo was exactly as I remembered because before it became granduncle Chad's home, it was my grandfather's and their father's too.

It was more like an ancestral home than a habitable house but Chad was as stubborn as they come and I don't think he ever forgive his late brother, my grandpa - Alpha Abbott Nocturnal Black for letting the pack catch up with the rest of the world and that hatred might have been transferred to Abbott's son Ryan, who not only brought in more technologies but agreed to share it with other neighboring packs like our powerplant and clean water Dam.

To Chad, my father was a disease. A disease that was beginning to infect other packs and the hostility between them has since grown.
