After a couple of hours at the mall, I came home and helped my mother cook. She loved to cook, but was often too exhausted to do so.

On the other hand, when it got to be six o'clock in the evening, Karla showed up at my house with a woman in a white robe.

"Please, we're just going to see some friends in town, it will be in a lounge at the Grand Monte Hotel," Karla said in a pouty voice.

My mother nodded and sighed, as I arched my eyebrow.

As soon as I left the house, I looked at Karla and gave her an odd expression, "Weren't we going to the club?"

"Obviously, yes," Karla said looking at Anna in the car.

"Come on, we're going to have a lot of fun. Maybe we'll find a man for you," Anna added winking at me.

I looked at her with an arched eyebrow and shook my head. "I'm not thinking about that," I said.

"Hester, it's time for you to move on. You can't stay single because of that idiot ex-boyfriend of yours. Maybe today you'll find the guy of your dreams or better,
