I don’t know how I ended up running to the park, but here I am. Sitting on the swing, all alone, eyes red and puffy. I let out a sigh as I stare at the clouds passing by. My messy hair swings at the wind, some of my hair covered my eyes.
“Ugh... what kind of day is this?” I quietly mutter, before trying to adjust my tangled hair.
“Tough day?” I overheard a feminine voice suddenly speak from beside me, making me flinch in surprise.
“Eek! Wha—,“ I cut off my scream when I came face to face with a familiar face.
“Yikes! Looks like you are having a bad hair day! Allow me to help you out—.“
I haven’t even fully processed what’s happening when she stands up from the swing she’s sitting and moved behind me. I can feel her soft fingers delicately untangle my messy hair.
Slowly I can feel my hair getting lighter, “Do you mind if I braid them?”.
“N-no... I don’t mind, you can do what you want,” I answer with a reddened face. I can’t believe I'm talking casually like this with her.
“There! All done! You know, you have such soft hair. What kind of shampoo do you use? Are you using any conditioner?” I flinch in surprise when she sat down again beside my swing and started asking questions.
Umm... what is happening?? How-- how did we get to this?? I never expected her to be... so friendly?
“Uh— I only use Hi-hibiscus shampoo. I never used any conditioner,” I stutter, trying to keep my pounding heart quiet down. The one I manage to encounter here coincidentally is none other than Dania.
That’s right Dania, the one I saw earlier trying to pick a fight against the seniors. Plus the one Airel wanted to introduce to me earlier. Well, it doesn’t matter since she’s here with me. And I cannot believe here we are talking about shampoo.
“Ooh! That’s interesting! I didn’t know that brand was really good! I might try that as well. I know! How about I treat you to shop for some clothes, to lift your mood! That’s what I always do whenever I’m feeling blue!” Dania excitedly suggested as she sat down back to er swing. Moving the swing with her feet, she keeps on swinging back and forth at a rather fast pace.
“Wait! You should not swing too fast—,“ but my warning is already too late, Dania slips out of the swing and lands butt first on the grassy ground in front of us. I quickly stand up from my swing to help her stand up.
“Are you okay?” I ask worriedly while making sure she didn't hurt herself too badly.
“Pfft! That was fun!” contrary to my worry, Dania removes the dust from her skirt before stretching, with a beaming smile on her face.
“...what?” Was she always like this?
She only turns to me with a grin on her lips, “I haven’t felt that kind of rush in a long time! Come on how about you try too!”.
Before I can protest, she seizes my hand and forcefully made me sit on the swing. She started pushing the swing faster every time.
“Waiiiittt!! Stooppp!!!” I don’t have that much strength to keep on holding.
When my hands finally slip, like watching a slow-motion video... I can see myself falling headfirst on the ground. I closed my eyes as I wait for the impact... yet, I can feel myself floating?
“Aww! Airel! We are having fun here!” I heard Dania complain, before opening my eyes to see myself floating a few inches above the ground.
“Are you alright Aimee?” Airel helps me to stand up before she fixes my messy uniform.
“Th-thank you...” I shyly mumble, it’s still a bit embarrassing to face Airel like this. Considering I argued with her earlier... and now she helped avoided an embarrassing position.
“Geez Dania! How can you do that to her? What would you do if she got injured?!” This is the first time I heard Airel yell in anger.
“We were just playing around! Right?— wait did you just say, Aimee??” Dania quickly turns around to face me with her widening in surprise.
Uhh... Is it really surprising to hear my name?
“You! Your name is Aimee??” she asks while examining my face. Why is she asking me like that? Is there something on my face?
“Y-yes, my name is Aimee,” I respond as I try to observe my reflection on the screen of my phone.
When I see nothing wrong with my face, I turn around to face them.
I was about to open my mouth to ask her something when I realise what Airel did. She used her abilities to make me float in an open park.
Would that mean someone else would have witnessed what happened??
I glance around the park nervously, to confirm whether or not someone has witnessed her ability. But to my surprise, we are the only ones here in this park.
I sigh in relief that no one saw Airel use her ability. But... How did I not notice we are the only ones here? Was I really not paying attention earlier??
“Well... I wasn’t expecting our first meeting to be like this,” I heard Dania mumbles. I turn to look at her on time to witness her ears turn red.
“!” Pfft! That was so unexpectedly cute. I thought she was someone who cannot be flustered so easily, but I was wrong.
“It’s fine, I guess this is just a unique first meeting for us?” I said trying to lessen the sudden awkward atmosphere. Dania’s face instantly brightens before smiling at me.
I don't exactly regret the way we met for the first time. It was unexpectedly... fun?
“It is a unique first meeting, huh? Well, how about we go somewhere we can relax?” Dania suggested as she hooks her right arm to my left arm, leaving my heart starts beating fast in shock.
I... this is the first someone wants to hang out with me. Is it okay to feel a bit excited about this?
“Geez, Dania... try not to be too excited about meeting Aimee. Since we are all here, why don’t we go to the mall?” Airel proposed with a smile on her lips.
Ah right... we meant to meet at the mall. I glance at Airel as we all march out of the park. I still have to clear things with her about how I acted back in the classroom.
“Umm... Airel, about earlier— I’m sorry,” I shyly apologize to her while looking down on the road. I can feel my cheeks heating up in embarrassment.
“It’s fine. I understand you didn’t mean to be rude. I also need to apologize for not giving you time to compose yourself. I’m sorry...” Airel apologizes as she clasps my right hand and offers me a bashful smile.
How... how can she still be this cute?! I took a deep breath trying to stop myself from grinning widely, with Dania giggling at my left. Seems like she is enjoying our awkward interaction. When I look up to Airel, our eyes met before we burst out giggling.
.
..— I thought they said we are here to relax but...
“Here try this one out! This color suits you!” Dania gave me another set of branded dresses.
“How about this one? It has a soft texture, and it’s lighter than that one from earlier,” Airel added before handing me another dress. I can see from the corner of my eyes that the sales lady is enjoying how much Dania and Airel spent on the clothes that we have brought earlier.
There are five bags of dresses waiting for them at the counter, which they have already paid for earlier.
“Wait... can we rest for a bit? We’ve been doing this for an hour now,” I suggested before I gently placed down the clothes I’m holding on the cushion sofa.
“What do you mean? We only managed to buy a few T-shirts and hoodies! That’s barely enough! We still have to buy you these dresses, skirts, shorts, leggings and some jeans! Don’t forget about accessories too! Now, try this dress on!” Dania protested before pushing me inside the fitting room and handing me the dresses they pick.
“Are you girls trying to buy the whole store?!” I yelled as Airel closes the door of the fitting room.
“That’s also a good idea!” Dania jokingly answered while laughing. I sigh before shaking my head in disbelief. Look I know they are filthy rich and I still can't help but be amazed by how they can easily pay for all of these.
I caught a glimpse of the price tag of one of the dresses, and I don't think my allowance is enough to be able to buy one dress.
Just how many pieces of clothing are they trying to buy?! I was going to refuse if ever they try buying me anything but... I didn’t have time to refuse as they kept on shoving me to fitting rooms before handing me various clothing items.
I carefully take off my uniform again for the nth time, admiring the dress I’m holding as I carefully wear it. The dress is pretty light and has a floral pattern, which is perfect for summer. It is also pretty comfortable to wear. The only problem is it's too expensive for my allowance.
Even if they are the ones that kept paying for my clothes, it's kind of... embarrassing receiving this much from them. We haven’t known one another for so long yet, they are already spoiling me this much.
Is this how friendship works? Or is it really because I’m the supposedly ‘Princess’ they were looking for?
Wait... Dania never said anything about being part of the same world as Airel does. But she saw Airel using her ability earlier right? Then that would mean...
I shake my head as I erase the questions that swirl in my mind. Why am I asking this to myself when I can just ask them about it? Yes, I should just ask better than having my brain explode from guessing too much about them.
“Hey Airel, did you even mention me to Aimee yesterday?” Dania asks the moment I discussed what happened earlier at the park. Once they had their fill of shopping clothes, Airel suggested that we should eat something first we part ways. After leaving the store an ice cream parlor near the dress shop we were at, caught our eyes. And Airel excitedly pulls our arms to enter the parlor. Also, Dania was the one who paid for all the clothes they chose for me. Let's just say the bill is way too I wasn’t expecting her to suggest eating ice cream rather than I don’t know... something that can be counted as dinner? Looking at my phone I noticed it was already 6 pm.
Third Person's POV Silence took over the room as the two continue to stare at one another. The only thing they can hear is the sound of their own breathing as well as the loud pounding of their heart. The first one to blink is the lady in white before she closes her eyes for a brief second as she vanishes into thin air. Aimee's eyes widened in surprise as her body moves on its own, her hand stretches trying to reach the lady. A feeling of desperation took a hold of her heart as she frantically search around the room trying to find her.
Aimee's POV "So... how about I show you what kind of ability I have?" Dania suggested once we finish eating lunch. I blink in surprise before remembering the events of yesterday. Right... she did say she's going to formally introduce herreal identitytoday. "Sure. I'm a bit curious," I stated while wiping my mouth with my handkerchief. "You need to be careful though, Dania. We don't want to alert
Third Person's POV The Astral Planet is a world where monsters roam freely. A place where they throw the worst of the worse. A complete opposite of the Celestial Planet, which can be described as an ethereal or sacred world. Within its dangerous and toxic territory, there stands its only Kingdom. Where even the meanest monster strays away from this place, making it a safe zone to live. They aren't avoiding it because of the strong energy emitting from the land but rather they are afraid of its ruler, theDark Queen. The Dark Queen Eloisa is the only one that manages to reform the destructive monsters who originally lived there. She divided the territories in half, giving the other half to the m
Third Person's POV Upon reaching the auditorium, Hans gently lays Aimee in one of the seats. Since this is the only place near them, and the only place where there aren't many students. He decided that it will be a temporary safe place for them."We can hide here only for a while. I'm sure assassins are crawling from everywhere," Hans spoke while silently examining every corner of the room."How did they manage to sneak here in the first place? Wasn't this supposed to be a safe zone specifically designed for us, Celestials? And the half Celestials that lived here on earth?" Dania asks in concern. The academy they were in is a school built specifically for the Celestials that were sent to Earth to secretly protect it from unknown forces. As they live in harmony with the humans, there are cases in which a Celestial has fallen in love with a human and married them. Their children born from them are the ones they called half celestials.&nbs
Third Person's POV "Forgot this fool. Find the Princess instead," a male voice cut off his train of thoughts, making him realize the situation he is currently in. He can't let them take his sister away, not if he can still fight. "Now hold on there, who told you that I'll let any of you get past me?" he stated as he loads his bow and aims at the man who spoke. He knew he is being arrogant with how weak he is right now. But... he can't let them get anywhere near the Princess. "..." the man only stares at him as the blue-haired girl took a few steps down the stairs. "Why don't you leave him to me, Jiro? I'm sure I can easily
Third Person's POV "Jiro... is there a reason why we are here?" Red ask the moment they reached the rooftop of the school. A huge black and white portal is sitting in the middle of the space, the portal leads back to the Astral planet. Red can feel his power being boosted the closer they get to the portal. Jiro has dark violet hair, emerald eyes, and a tattoo on his left lower arm. On his left stood a small petite girl with short curly blue hair, yellow eye, and a small tattoo on her ring finger. Next is a tall man with dark blo
Third Person's POV The seats of the auditorium are all now ruined. Some are burnt, some are torn in half, while the rest have been stabbed by sharp objects. While the curtains are all torn apart, the stage has burnt marks and some of the lights are shattered on the ground. Xenia cast another spell as a dozen black arrows appeared from thin air at Hans who raises his right hand as a white magic circle appeared below him. The black dagger hit the magic barrier before they vanished. "I will admit you are pretty good!" Hans stated breaking the quiet atmosphere. "...is that so?" Xenia responds in a bored tone. Hans' POV This is bad... I'm almost out of energy, I thought I could at least make it until someone closes the portal. But seeing that this girl in front of me still has this much power. It looks like no one has found the portal yet. If I knew this would happen, I should have taken at least a few candies to boost my mana. I stare at Xenia as she stretches her arms, looks like
I let out a tired sigh once I am alone on the balcony. The guard that escorts me is currently guarding the door that will lead to this place. I told him that I want to take a breather on my own, so he stayed behind. "Princess?" a familiar voice startles me as I turn to see Brenia holding a glass of juice as she walks towards me.The guard probably recognize her so he let her in. Well, I did say that I don't mind if any of the trio came to keep me company here. Honestly, I enjoy their company, especially since I have gotten closer to them. Though, Brenia has been too busy to properly spend time with us as she only comes by from time to time. "Oh? Brenia? Come and keep me company," I greet her with a smile as she stops near me."Are you feeling okay, Princess?" The smile on her lips turn into a frown the moment she saw my tired look. I just want to point out that ever since we came to this world, Brenia has become more expressive than back when we were on Earth. Because of that, it h
Aimee's PovAs days passed by, the welcome party that my sister prepared for have finally come. This is the first party that I will ever attend! And to top it all, it's a very lavish and massive party! All the influential figures of this kingdom are invited! My sister is the one who prepared everything for this party. And I saw how busy everyone has become because of this. It took them a whole month to prepare when Airel said it should be at least too two months considering all the things that still need to be done. All nobles and high-ranking officials are going to attend this party! I wonder if I can manage to do a good job of greeting them! I am a bit worried considering I have no prior experience of attending such a party and this is specifically designated for me!For the past two months, I have done nothing but memorize the name, pictures, and responsibilities of all the guests... All the notable guests. I think I heard somewhere this is the first time in a while that they will
The room they are having their lesson is a spacious room filled with all the essential books that Aimee will require for her lessons. In addition, it has a comfy sofa with a coffee table made with a special kind of tree that only grows in a certain area. "Now, your highness, can you tell me again the name of the leader of the Fire Clan?" Airel's calming voice asks as she smiled at Aimee. "The current Leader of the Fire Clan is the firstborn daughter of the late Captain Conleth, Lady Solana. She became the leader of their clan at such a young age of... was it sixteen?" Aimee answers as she tried recalling what she has read about her. Airel has been informing her about all the leaders of the clan to prepare for the incoming party. It will be her duty to greet them and properly introduce herself as the sole Princess of the Kingdom. "She was about fifteen when she was selected as their current captain," Airel corrected her as she turns the page of the book she is holding. Airel is sta
"As expected... I should not have given you a chance to escape back then," the cold voice of the Dark Queen echoes in the silent tower as the young Light Queen took a deep breath to calm her racing heart. She may look calm on the outside, but there is an inner turmoil happening inside her. She can't believe that the barrier of the sacred tower would be breached so easily by her sister. Has she been neglecting her practice, that her older sister has beaten her? She should be the one with the advantage between them since she IS the Queen of the Celestial planet... meaning she should have a direct mana connection to the heart of magic. Yet... she can feel nothing has changed within her mana ever since she became the first Queen. She doesn't grasp what she did wrong, but she can't seem to connect her power to the heart of magic. So why is her elder sister much more powerful than she is? When did she draw magic from the Astral planet? She should have been weakened after stepping here.
Third-person POV A cloaked figure appeared inside the throne room from the shadows. Kneeling in front of the throne, he removes his hood and lowers his head. "Well?" an indifferent voice resonates inside the silent room, as she elevates her eyebrow at the kneeling figure. The figure let out a defeated sigh, before fixing his cloudy grey hair. Taking a deep breath as he tries to soothe his racing heart. His heart would always race faster whenever he is with her presence... and that won't change any time soon. Especially, since the mark on his lower back has been reacting every time he is close to her. "You are right, your majesty. I lost... again," he admitted with a sigh as his silver-grey eyes met her glowing green eyes. The Queen smirks as she stares at him. The person in front of her is the only one that isn't afraid of her eyes. It was exactly the opposite, the first time she encountered him the words he uttered were. "How pretty..." It made her shudders the first time she h
Third-person POV"Are you all calm now?" the Queen's gentle voice seems to wake the trio as they all took deep breaths to compose themselves. They all nod their head in embarrassment, they can't believe they show such acts in front of the Queen.A sad smile forms on the Queen's lips, she understands how they feel. She inwardly sighs to herself as she fixes her sitting position. She would surely act like them if she wasn't in her current position. After all, she is the Queen of the North Star kingdom. She has responsibilities to attend to."Now I must remind to the three of you, that what we discussed here shouldn't leave this room. I will be the one to handle things. No one must be allowed to know what happen. Especially my little sister... I know she will be devastated to hear of what happened to them," the Queen declares. They fully understand what she implies, as they nod their head.If she ever finds out about this while not having full control of her power... things will be destru
Aimee's Pov My eyes are still swollen from crying so much... I'm currently enjoying a relaxing bath inside an enormous room. To be honest, the size of this room is practically equivalent to three living rooms back at my home. "Wait a minute! That's right! I wonder how they are doing. I sincerely hope they manage to defeat whoever those assassins are. I hope my brother is doing okay and wonder if the police got involved in that fight? What about my parents? How would they react to what has happened? I should probably ask about this to my-- sister later," I mumbled to myself as I stare at the lofty ceiling. I can feel my cheeks heating up after saying the word sister. I'm still not used to having a gentle sister, especially if she is someone who has this incredible position, being the mother of this Kingdom and all. After I finally greeted my sister earlier, we both ended up crying in each other arms. Now that I think about it, it's pretty embarrassing crying like that in front of o
Aimee's POV The more we got closer to the gigantic wall surrounding the lovely city and the gorgeous palace, the more my heart is thumping loudly inside my ribcage. Is this it? Do we only need to enter the capital city and then head straight to the palace? Is that it?How is it this easy to discover the family... I have been seeking all these years? And is this going to be my reality starting now? Am I the right one they are looking for? What if they won't accept me? What if my sister doesn't want me? What will I do?What if I mess things up? What if I can't become a better Princess for them? I have so many questions in my head right now.The moment we approached the gigantic wall, we instantly saw civil guards standing on their posts looking up at us. Before sending a signal to the other guards."They are over here!!" I barely heard the joyous shout of one of the guards to another guard as a small gem was thrown up to the sky... far from us before it exploded like fireworks.A few
Aimee's POV "As much as I can stare at this magnificent view for hours... what are we supposed to do now exactly?" I promptly ask as I turn to face the trio who is still staring at the picturesque scenery in front of us. "Oh yeah, we should get going now. Airel if you mind?" Brenia spoke as she turns to face Airel who only nods her head. "Alright. I will go call us a ride," Airel naturally responds which made me confused. "So... is there any suitable vehicle we can ride here? Or something?" I ask them that instantly made them glance at one another before giggling. "There is not any modern vehicle here that we can ride leisurely. But we do have a way of easier traveling here. Just watch and learn my dear Princess!" Airel explains as she then took a step forward before gently raising her right hand in the air. She closes her eyes as for some reason the gentle wind around us instantly starts to surround her. And with a flick of her finger, a ringing sound was heard before a small bu
