Xavier began to jog and they all matched his energy, running to the dock. By the time they got there, it was drizzling. The Pack members ready to fight were all dressed in black now and they lined up side by side from the river bank to the top of the watercraft, carrying and passing on the little ones. The sky opened up minutes later and the entire island was as quiet as a tomb except for the pattering of the raindrops and the sparse snowfall that clouded the air – one would think there was no single soul for miles.
