Stormy

“How did my brunette hottie not know she had those gorgeous eyes?” I asked Grant, even though I knew he was clueless. He wasn’t as street smart as me. Truth be told, my human was a little nerd-ish, the artist kind and didn’t have the wild edge Daddy-O here swings on. Greatness isn’t for everyone. But he is lucky, he has gotten me.

“It’s her first time shifting, so it’s only natural,” Grant replied. I knew it. He was clueless.

I couldn’t take my eyes off the furry beauty in front of me. Circling her in my own kind of courtship dance, which included lots of hip and tail swings, I gave her a once over. Nice tail, girl.

Since I knew that my brunette beauty could be a little wild and skittish, I took a step away, trying not to overcrowd her space. After all, I was a gentleman — a gentlewolf, which is much better.

Shaking it up, she shook her luscious fur. I licked my lips like the big bad wolf I am, thinking about all I wanted to do to her. That girl was sexy without even trying.

GrantI woke up to the first lights of the dawn, in my form, with Angeline huddled up in my arms. My eyes darted from her face, nested against my chest, to her gorgeous long legs. She was beautiful, dazzling like a piece of art bathed by the morning light filtered by the trees. I wanted to learn every inch, each single detail of her so that I could draw her as soon as I could get a piece of paper and pencil. She stirred in her sleep, opening her eyes slowly. “Are you staring at me?” she asked with a yawn, a playful smile forming on her lips.I flashed her a grin. “Definitely, that’s what I do all night, every night.”My words had her sleepy eyes snapping open as she pushed at my chest, trying to leave my embrace. I only chuckled, wrapping my arms around her and bringing her once again close. I didn’t want a single inch between us.“As much as you are beautiful and I love looking at you, I am joking.”She huffed under her breath. “Good, cause that would be beyond awkward.”She shook he

AngelineAs the fucking world broke down around me I couldn’t stop laughing like a maniac. The Damn universe, Gods and whatever must be kidding me! And they were not funny.“Did that girl just say she is pregnant with Grant and Stormy’s pup?” A startled bark left Cal. I focused on her with great effort, and saw her shaking her body, and wide eyes.As soon I could form a half-coherent thought, I reared back, putting some distance between Grant and myself.Sobbing another round of chuckles, I heard Cal ask Dora, the sound distant as if my head was under water. “Is that true? • My Unfated Mate   Part II - 1/ 53. The Road Ahead

AngelineI looked down the road ahead, and released a deep exhale. The night was already falling and soon I would have to stop and take a break. My legs were killing me and my dear and very helpful golden wolf refused to lend me some of her magical stamina. “She too had a petty side. It’s not only golden perfection there!” Cal barked, and I shook my head. It was okay to be on bad terms with the world, and even with Grant. But I didn’t like being on bad terms with one of my wolves. I loved those two furry opposites. Pulling a green branch aside, I opened my way through the narrow path within the forest. That was the fastest route to Aaron’s pack. I’ve studied the little map in my hand many times and although I wasn’t a tracker, I wasn’t bad at it and probably wouldn’t get lost. At least not physically, only emotionally. Looking at my fully packed bag, I smiled thinking about all the things Stine gave me. She didn’t let me leave the pack without filling my pockets with money, runes,

Angeline His warm eyes met mine, and my heart stammered as I looked intently at him, without allowing myself to blink, too afraid that if I did so, my dad would disappear and be dead once again. With my eyes wide open like two anchors, I gazed at his soft smile and loving face. “Did you ever think I would leave you, my angel?” he asked, stretching his arm out and offering me his hand. Hearing his voice almost made me cry like a child. I shook my body, trying to get rid of the overwhelming feeling of confusion. How was that possible? Was I dead again? Was it a dream or the next level of insanity? You know what? It doesn’t matter, my dad was here. Jumping to my feet, I took his hand in mine and shove myself into his open arms. He was the only person I had, the single safe haven amidst the chaos, until he died and left me exposed to all the terrors and disasters the world could dump on me. And we all know the world didn’t spare a single trouble, throwing it all on my head like in

  • My Unfated Mate   3/55. Great Love, Great Loss

A few hours earlier:GrantI looked out of the window of my office as Angeline quickly strode towards the pack borders, only able to see her due to my wolf’s vision. As soon as I heard she was heading to the pack limits, I interrupted my uncomfortable talk with Gina and came here, dying to look at Angeline — at my Lily — one more time. Seeing her walk away laced my chest with a pain that fastly spread across my system, causing a whimper to vibrate in my throat. My great love. My great loss. Soon, not even my vision could make out/discern more than a silhouette quickly swallowed by the distance. Fuck! I hit my forehead against the glass of the window, chastising myself. She was leaving. My muscles tensed even further as I controlled myself not to run after her and ask her to stay as many times as it took to convince her. No. I had to give her space. After my greatest mistake, I didn’t have the right to insist that she listen to me. “It doesn’t matter! Go after her. We can’t let m

  • My Unfated Mate   4/56. The Maiden of the moon

AngelineI squinted my eyes to see within the dark of the moonless night and resumed walking. The mess of unsettled thoughts weighed on my head, blooming an annoying ache on my temples. Headache or not, the faster I went, the sooner I would see my pup. After an hour or so of walking, a shed of brightness attracted my vision to the sky and my brows pinched together as I caught sight of the moon – a waxing moon. Wait, she was not there before. When I blinked, the moon and her soft light were gone. Has the moon gone crazy and mixed up her cycle calendar? “You are the one who lost it. There was no moon, only one of the darkest nights of our lives. I will shift and walk the rest of the way, and maybe you can try to rest in the back of our mind.” Cal said, and I replied with a long exhale. Probably a broken heart and a weird dream were the two last drops I needed to lose my s.hit completely. Before she could shift to her form, I heard a soft giggle. Yeah, it was official: I went to th

  • My Unfated Mate   5/57. Ava

AngelineAfter Dora shifted and ran most of the way with her super quick paws, I finally arrived close to the borders of Aaron’s Pack. Ensuring that there was no one around, I went behind a tree and changed back to my form, taking the glamour that Stine gave me even before putting clothes on.No one in this pack could see my real appearance, otherwise my plan would be ruined. My brows furrowed at the blond locks falling down my shoulders, and the pair of large breasts that replaced my small ones. To make sure the whole thing went right, I checked the reflection on the metallic surface of my water bottle, and seeing my new face, I smiled. I wasn’t one to care that much about looks, since I had more to do — like a pup to take care of and silly words to write. But now, being what basic she-wol

  • My Unfated Mate   6/58. Clash

“Oh.” She gaped at me as if she couldn’t make her mind whether I was Angeline or not. As Stella’s eyes locked with mine and we gape at each other, Aaron clicked his tongue and chuckled.“No, Stella. That’s Ava. She doesn’t even resemble Angeline. Those pups.” Turning his head to look at me, he dismissed Stella with a motion of his hand as if she were a stray dog. That son of a flea-infested chihuahua! But she took a few steps closer anyway, not acknowledging his gesture. Even though I was now a buxom blond could she recognize me? Could she feel that inside the magical-mask I was wearing, I was still her Angel? My heart screamed at that thought, both dreading and yearning for her to recognize me. How I wanted her to jump into my arms, but I knew it would ruin my plans. I cleared my throat, giving her an awkward wave of my hand. “Hello, pup, I am your cousin Ava from the Opal Moon Pack.” She gasped again, a cute oh forming on her mouth, “A cousin? Cool. AngelineGrant’s canines sank on me, and the time stopped. The moon mark on my belly pulsated like a second heart. • My Unfated Mate   Chapter 71

GrantAngeline and I proceeded to check the ruined car. Surveying its surroundings, she found a few pieces of torn clothes.“I can’t find my phone, but it’s not that important. I can always count on Dora’s super-reaching mind-link abilities.” She shrugged her shoulders.Fortunately, the two elite guards who escorted us here weren’t dead, only harmed to the extent of unconsciousness. The king’s army transported them to the Royal Pack where they could receive immediate treatment. They would be fine.I hauled another sign of relief. Losing lives lives of my pack was a fucking bane, a burden I would never bear with ease. And I shouldn’t. Their lives matter and always will. After gazing around the half-burnt trees of the empty meadow, Angeline joined me, melting into my embrace. We were finally alone. The King left after Angeline and I told him about Elijah’s first attack and how Alpha Blake played a role in Angeline's kidnap.“I thought he would be royally enraged, we didn't tell him ever

I could never tell her that she was enough and I loved her too.I was so empty without my Sia, my soul unable to reach hers.More words ricocheted in my mind, from the moment I first met Dora, but refused to let go of my first wolf. “Sia is gone. She sacrificed herself in an attempt to save you. Her soul shielded yours, and consequently, she took the hardest hit of Elijah’s dark magic.”Sia sacrificed herself for me!“And I will do it as many times as it takes!” Cal growled, lunging on Elijah.“No!” I screamed in my mind, I couldn’t lose my Cal-Sia again. AngelineI had to spill it out! After taking a long and deep breath, I started, “Grant, I’m not your friend. We can’t be friends—”He interrupted me with a low growl. “Sorry, I couldn’t control the growl. I know I’m imposing Angeline. I have no right over you and I shouldn’t be here when you told me not to. After we talk to the king, I will be out of your life.” He didn’t do a good job concealing the sorrow in his voice.“No!”Grant’s head reared back, forehead creasing at my protest as he threw me a confused look.I slurred, “I mean … that’s not what I want. I can’t be your friend because it’s too little and I want so much more. I want everything.
