"Let's see how things are in your apartment first, what happened there," said Nicholas. He looked back. "You guys want to take a look at Ms. Joy's apartment first?"

Sky and Flower nodded simultaneously while glancing at each other. Nicholas steered the car down the road to Josephine's apartment. He drove the car slowly, then stopped on a quiet side street and made a phone call.

"James, you go into the lobby and ask the caretaker what's going on in there. Pretend you're looking for someone," Nicholas said.
