Chapter 146 Provoked The Culprit

Josephine's head felt very heavy and her neck hurt. She groaned softly, realizing that she was lying on the cold hard cement floor.

A dusty, musty smell filled the room and Josephine had no idea where she was.

Josephine blinked, trying to adjust her eyes to the dim light in this seemingly empty room. There was nothing in the room and the only light came from the dim yellow lamps on the ceiling and the trellis windows on the walls.

Josephine tried to stand up and unsteadily walked to the wall with a window so she could peek out.

However, the window was too high and there was nothing to climb out of. Josephine pressed her ear against the wall, listening for the sound of water or the sound of seagulls.

However, nothing was heard at all. Josephine concludes that she is no longer on board The Little Mermaid cruise ship as she was originally on.

Josephine traced the wall towards the door, because she still felt dizzy. She pounded on the thick wooden door and screamed.
