34 Mysterious Stranger

“I want to leave...” I said, finally deciding to get free from all pain and start a new chapter in my life, one where I can heal and find happiness again.

Xavier turned at me; his eyes filled with confusion. “What does it mean?” I took a deep breath, gathering my courage. “I want to leave all this behind and start fresh,” I clarified, determined to take control of my own happiness and well-being. “I want to leave the pack and all the memories that come with it.”

Xavier grabbed my shoulder and pulled me close to him. I can see his anger and hurt in his eyes. “You can’t just leave like that,” he said, his voice pleading. “You are a part of my family, a part of me.”

I brushed his hands off my shoulder, shaking my head. “A family that abused me for all these years, an alpha that ignored my presence as a burden rather than a blessing,” I replied firmly. “Even if I die, no one will mourn my absence in this pack,” I spoke with a finality that left no room for argument.
