Jordan's P . O . VThis morning, I didn't need an alarm clock nor Brittany's phone calls to wake me up from sleep no. I didn't need any of those at all because I remained wide awake almost through out the entire night. For some strange reasons, I kept on tossing and turning in bed and whenever I finally found a comfortable enough position to fall asleep in, I would suddenly peel my eyes open a few minutes later and that continued for the rest of the night up until i noticed the first trace of dawn through my windows I left opened and I got out of bed.Right then at that early hour of the day, I made a decision to put aside every personal feeling of contempt I have towards Mr Shelton. That way, we perhaps might be able to tolerate each other better for the sake of the project at hand.We have to be in agreement if at all we are going to work together and I knew that for a fact we were both far from being in agreement. I can't really speak for him but I do know his presence alone was
Jordan's P . O . VNow I knew why he termed my office a hole without even getting to see it.It was indeed a hole compared to the place I was now currently standing. The wide and sparsely furnished office held an additional touch of elegance the pure white high walls were already more than enough to emit. From where he sat behind his expensive mahogany desk watching me like a hawk, he appeared dominant in his territory and I swallowed hard at how inferior I was starting to feel for no reason at all.He held out his hand towards the empty seat opposite him and that was only when I realized I hadn't moved an inch since I stepped in for several minutes.I drew in a deep breath to fuel my low leveled boldness before taking difficult steps forward until I reached the seat and let my eyes look past him to the floor length window completely made of glass that allowed a very clear view of the vast city looking tiny and beautiful from up here. I should complement his office shouldn't I?No!
Unknown P . O . V"We have him" my hired Hitman informed me and only then was I able to heave a sigh of relief.I trusted his abilities to a near one hundred percent but one can't really be too certain especially due to the fact that Mr Shelton is a man of great importance."I hope for a fact you left no traces behind?" I questioned in response."Are you gonna teach me how to do my own job?" He bit back and I remained silent. I knew better than to piss off a thug especially one in business with me. I couldn't risk turning him against me."That is not what I meant" I clarified and set myself free from my tie that was beginning to feel alot too suffocating."There was although one small problem." He announced and the atmosphere around me suddenly turned cold."Whatever could that be?" I questioned eagerly. I hated to thing something went wrong with the operation."A lady got into the scene and we had no other choice but to bring her along as well" he explained. That wasn't part of the
Adrian's P . O . VIt's been hours.I couldn't really tell how many because the people who abducted us took with them my wristwatch and every other thing asides the clothings I had on.My head hurt like a bitch ever since I got hit in the head with what I suppose should be a hockey stick. I don't really know. I didn't exactly pause to behold what weapon I was attached with from behind. It was bad enough that I was locked up in some dirty hole, but what was even worse was that I couldn't bring myself to think properly without getting interrupted by the annoyingly loud weasel who unfortunately happens to be my cellmate or in this case, Hole-mate.I would give anything right about now to get a separate hole but I'm currently in no position to make choices. I tried so hard to think who could be behind all of this but I couldn't bring my mind down to anyone in particular. It couldn't be her definitely. Although her wide mouth and untamed audacity, she could never pull such scheme. I seri
Ralph's P . O . VIt's been hours. And I didn't know if it was just me being paranoid for no reason but Jordan was still yet to return home.I've been seated in the living room for hours playing video games and waiting for that moment where she walks in with the usual cute frown on her face with some detailed complaints about her Boss or some other random employee she happened to have had a clash with during the course of the day.I really shouldn't be so worried. Yes, It was way past evening but not exactly too deep into the night yet and besides, she could just be over at her Best friend's place so I shrugged off the thoughts before taking another one of the few cookies left in my plate.I really wanted to save her some but I doubt any of that would happen at this rate."Sweetie, any word from Jordan?" Zoe questioned moments later from behind me where she suddenly appeared from somewhere around the house."No. I only saw her leave this morning and that was it" I replied with a warm
Ralph's P . O . VI knew I wouldn't be able to fall asleep last night so I didn't even bother trying. After walking Brittany back to her house, I walked slowly through the silent street lit up by tall lamps on either sides of the road thinking to myself what could have possibly gone wrong. When my thoughts were beginning to feed me with crazy ideas I wasn't willing to accept, I charged into the house and helped myself to a bottle of water too chilled for the weather and I gulped down its entire content down my painfully dry throat without any hesitations whatsoever. It felt so lonely being up on my own so I turned on the TV even though my mind was far from it, I just needed the extra voices to keep me from imagining the worst things possible.I sat on that one sofa situated opposite the main entrance to the house at the far end awaiting when she'll walk in but the door's knob remained untouched up until dawn when I thought to get ready for the day which begins by picking Brittany up
Ralph's P . O . VNothing made sense anymore but there's got to be some sort of explanation for all of this. There's no way two people could just vanish into thin air without any explanation.Although that's what the new case seemed like, I was willing to bet anything that something's not right here.Something seemed fishy but I couldn't exactly point out what at the moment."Don't you guys have some security cameras around the building or something? We could look through yesterday's footage for answers" I suggested next. From what we know from the annoying doorman over there, they both stepped out the building and didn't return. Adrian Shelton must have gotten to his car before he vanished. That explains why his phone and stuff were found in there. Before thinking of any next steps to take, we seriously need to know what happened."Yeah, we do." Came his response with continuous firm nodding and a bright glint in his eyes that showed just how supportive he was of my idea. The next
Brittany's P . O . V"Keep a close watch on your Criminal Boss" didn't sound like a hard task at all but it turned out to be one when Mr Anderson made it harder for me to keep my mind in one piece with the way he walked about the place. It was although a usual habit of his to go around barking out orders at everyone but today, I seriously needed him to sit still while Ralph and Travis come up with something soon. The next time I looked out the window of my office into the hallway, he seemed to be leaving entirely. I could tell with his ridiculously huge brown briefcase he held in one hand and his suit Jacket he draped over the other hand strolling out at this time of the day which was all too unusual. And suspicious. He can't leave!I couldn't possibly let that happen. What to do? What to do?"Going somewhere??" I questioned after foolishly jumping out before him, stylishly blocking his path to keep him from leaving."Sir" I added in a squeaky voice when I realized I had left out that
