Chase did not interfere when he saw this.

He had used his sword intent to test Zach because he was worried that Zach might have other moves up his sleeves. When he saw Edward from Sosa Clan panic, Chase knew that it was because Zach was in crisis. When faced with imminent danger, Zach did not pull any unexpected moves.
