The corner of Maria’s lips twitched. She felt like her pride was thrown out of the window when she heard Alvin’s words. Irritated, Maria slapped Alvin’s cheek. Maria’s hand felt hot, her fingers were shaking, her breath was caught on her throat. She looked at Alvin with a sharp gaze.
“I asked you to pretend to be Miller, not harassing me!” Maria’s voice was shaking, then she looked away.
Alvin, who heard that, smiled. “I’m going to marry you, am I not? So, after we got married, should I ignore you without—”

“Calm down, Miss Addison. Your skinny, flat body isn’t actually my type. And don’t scream, because I’m not deaf.”
Maria closed her eyes. She tried to control her emotions as she rubbed her face perfectly.

Maria didn’t answer immediately. She took her bag then she left the room. Right before she left the room, she stopped in her track. She glanced at Alvin with her cold gaze.
“I will be back tomorrow, so you must stay here. Don’t go anywhere until you’re able to master all of Miller’s habit and behavior.”
She closed the door in a snap, while Alvin was smiling hearing that. He never thought that his difficult job was now becoming annoying!

After took a long journey, Maria finally arrived at the Barnet family’s residence. Fortunately Maria had changed her clothes and her stitches which was on her forehead could be hidden with bangs.
The Barnet family was a very complicated nobel family. Maria fell silent again, if she had not met Miller in person that night, she would have had the same opinion as Mrs. Barnet now. The only problem now was, Maria already knew everything very clearly and that made Maria’s emotions flare up every time she remembered it.

Maria swallowed hard. Damn, she forgot about Holly! Maria couldn’t even answer Mrs. Barnet’s question. She stuttered until Holly finally appeared from the main door and then saluted them all.
“I’m sorry, Mrs. Barnet. I was parking the car.” Holly answered.
Maria felt relieved, she turned to Holly then the two of them looked at each other and smiled.
“Okay, Maria. Go to your room immediately, the servant will come and deliver your wedding dress. It just so happens that your wedding dress is ready.”
Maria nodded obediently, then she and Holly walked quickly to Maria’s room.
“What happened, Miss? Is everything going smoothly, what about Alvin—”
“Holly, be quiet. I’ve taken care of everything. You know even the walls in this house have ears!” Maria warned.
They both entered the room, then Maria took a deep breath as if there was plenty of oxygen in her room.

Maria held her breath perfectly, she was again filled with anxiety. Her hands were intertwined with each other again, she was afraid because she felt guilty for the accident that happened to Miller.
“Miss Addison, this is your wedding dress, try it on!”
Maria almost jumped when the two servants came to her room, Maria tried to smile and invited the servants in.
“I will try on this wedding dress with Holly, you may go.”

Holding her breath, Maria looked at the wedding dress. The wedding plan that was carefully arranged in the end almost fell apart. Without thinking Maria ran from her room to the main hall. Without taking off her wedding dress she ran barefoot. Her breath was short, her chest kept beating hard, her eyes felt hot and when she was in the main hall Maria was really speechless.
Her steps stopped, both hands still holding the corners of her wedding dress, right behind the main door a figure that resembled Miller was there, and the figure was smirking while looking at Maria with his sharp gaze.
Maria swallowed hard, her tears just fell, her body shivered violently. It was over, she was sure that the Barnet family would definitely find out Alvin’s disguise right now!
