NARRATION

Mavis drove through the Beachside. He was looking for a place to park his car, but he couldn't help but admire the beauty of the scene before him.

He spotted a small parking lot and pulled in. He shut off the engine and turned to Isabel. "Are you okay?" he asked.

Isabel forced a smile, trying to hide the turmoil she was feeling. "I'm fine," she said. "Let's just step out and take a walk around."

Isabel's words were tinged with sadness and disappointment. "I thought today was going to be a special day," she said. "I thought it would be a day of celebration, but instead, it's been one disaster after another."

Mavis reached for her hand. "I know it's been a tough moment," he said. "But it's not over yet. Maybe we can turn it around."

Isabel gave him a weak smile. "I don't know how," she said. "I feel like I've lost my spirit."

"See the area over there?" Mavis pointed out to the Beach.

"I do," She replied.

"What do you see there?"

NARRATION Mavis wrapped his strong arms around Isabel and carried her up the stairs of the yacht, like a prince carrying his princess. Isabel felt weightless in his embrace as if she were floating on air. They reached the top of the stairs and Mavis gently set her down, never breaking their gaze. Mavis' eyes never left Isabel's as he descended the stairs, his fingers holding the zipper of his jeans in place. He reached the bottom of the stairs and dashed to the other side of the room, reaching for a small box that was hidden under a chair. He picked it up and hurried back up the stairs, his heart pounding in his chest. Isabel's eyes followed his every move, her curiosity growing with each passing moment. She couldn't help but wonder what was in the box As Mavis opened the box, Isabel's eyes widened in surprise. Inside were items she would have never expected: a chain, a lock, a rope, and a blindfold. Her heart began to race, her mind spinning with questions. What did all of thes

ISABELThe bed in the room was a sight to behold. It was the center of attention, standing tall and regal with its intricately carved headboard and footboard. The fabric canopy draped down, adding a touch of elegance to the already luxurious bed.I gasped in surprise as Mavis lifted me effortlessly off the ground, his arms wrapped firmly around my waist. He carried me toward the bed like a prize. I felt a sudden desire as he laid me gently on the soft mattress, his eyes filled with an intensity that took my breath away."You are so beautiful," he said in his husky voice. "I've waited so long for this moment."He made toward the box he brought in earlier and began to pick out the items in it. Mavis moved away from the bed, his eyes never leaving my face. He reached for the box that he had brought earlier, and I watched with anticipation as he began to remove items one after another. First came the rope, which he coiled in his hands, running his fingers along the silky length. Then he

MAVISAs I slipped a finger into her pussy, the shrill ring of Isabel's phone shattered the moment, reminding me that the real world still existed beyond the intimate sanctuary we had created. I shot a glance toward Matilda's daughter, ensuring she remained unaware of the intrusion, and reached for the phone. A glance at the caller ID sent a jolt of alarm through me.“Who is it?" She asked, her voice laced with fear seeing that I couldn't speak up immediately. "It’s umm..." I hesitated. "A video call from Mom," I replied, trying to keep the edge from my voice. The magic of the moment dissipated and was replaced by a creeping sense of dread. I could almost feel Isabel's heart racing in tandem with mine as we both struggled to process the disruption to our carefully crafted scene. The call stopped but as soon as it did, it came again. The brief silence was shattered as Isabel’s phone rang, her mother’s name flashing across the screen. Isabel let out a small whimper, her entire body ri

ISABEL"Dad and Mom will be returning by tomorrow, very early in the morning," I said, joining Mavis in the bed. Mavis’ body tensed slightly at the reminder of our parents’ imminent return. He paused for a moment, gently stroking my hair as he processed the news. "Early morning, huh?" He murmured, his voice tinged with a hint of worry. "We’ll need to be more careful then."I nestled my head against Mavis’ chest, "We’ll figure something out. I’m not ready to say goodbye just yet."As the hours ticked away, we clung to each other in the dark room. Mavis’ fingers traced soft patterns on my skin, his heart pounding with the bittersweet knowledge that the morning light would bring a change. In the quiet stillness, my mind danced with the memory of our secret rendezvous at the Beach, the words "un poco loco" swirled out of my mouth. Mavis laughed at my attempts to use my limited Spanish vocabulary."Why did you say that?" He asked. "Do you remember how crazy it was when we snuck away from

ISABELNathan sped toward the airport instead while I leaned on the car seat to meditate on the News from the radio. The radio hummed softly in the background, providing a subdued soundtrack for my racing thoughts. As Nathan weaved through the traffic, my mind reeled with the implications of our parents' arrival. My stepfather’s return to Los Angeles seemed to be heralding a shift in the tides, a turning of the wheel that would send ripples throughout my stay in the Mulan's mansion. Soon, we got on the airport road. We would be arriving at the airport in a few minutes. The airport road loomed ahead, the iconic signs of Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) rising from the horizon like beacons in the distance. Nathan smoothly navigated the twists and turns, skillfully avoiding the chaotic tangle of traffic. My gaze drifted to the passing scenery, the familiar sights of the city rushing by in a blur.Stepping out of the car, I glanced around the bustling airport. The air buzzed wit

ISABELAmelia burst through the front door, her eagerness to greet Mr. Mulan visible on her face. As Nathan attempted to assist with the luggage, Amelia stepped forward, gently plucking the briefcase from his grasp with a dazzling smile. "Allow me," She said with a gracious nod of thanks, her gaze fixed on me as she waited for the couple to step out of the car.In a graceful motion that spoke volumes of her learned respect, Amelia sank to one knee, her posture straight and proud as she spoke. "Welcome home, Mr. and Mrs. Mulan. It’s a pleasure to have you back at the estate," She said giving them a warm smile. The gesture was a rare display of deference. As Mr. Mulan acknowledged Amelia’s gesture with a curt nod. She rose to her feet at once and dashed into the foyer. As we stepped through the doorway, I felt the weight of my mother's hands resting gently on my shoulders. She suddenly asked, "Were you able to repair your broken shop?"I paused, considering my words carefully, before cr

MAVISI was the first to arrive at the table. Soon after, Jessie joined me. His appearance was enough to convince me of how hungry he was. "Hi," He said, pulling out a seat."Hi, Jessie. Why do you look so hungry and worn out?"While Jessie attempted to give me his reply, Isabel showed up in a red nightgown distracting us. Jessie and I watched her as she approached the dining table. Why did she have to choose a red one? I thought before welcoming her to the table. "Hello, Mavis." She said but her eyes were on Jessie."Hi," I briefly said and she smiled but kept her gaze on Jessie."Hey, Jess. Are you okay?" She must have noticed the sadness on his face. Jessie nodded, "I am, just that, I'm famished. I didn't have enough in the afternoon because I lost my appetite.""Why not start eating already?"Jessie looked at me and shook his head, "We wait for everyone else to be present at the table."As if on cue, Donald sauntered into the room, his movements slow and sleepy. He was tapping the keyboard on his phone quickly then, he would wait and begin again. He had stopped eating and was now more interested in his phone. "It seems you have been distracted, son." Mom said and he looked up, feeling uneasy."It's just a short conversation with workmates about an updated schedule. I'll resume eating as soon as we have finalized our discussion." Mom nodded.Donald and Roland were already done with their food and had vacated the table leaving behind a portion of their meal.Somehow, Jessie was able to swap his plate with Donald's so he could finish up when he had remained."Jessie eats more than everyone in this house, yet, he doesn't grow fat," Dad commented teasingly, standing to his feet as he wiped his mouth with the serviette. ISABEL It happened in an instant. A deafening and sudden explosion, "POP!" It felt like my soul was drawn out of my body. It was like the sharp sound of a gunshot. It shook even the foundations of the courthouse vehemently. "Isabel! Get down at once!" my stepfather's voice boomed from the back. But before I could do anything else, someone swooped in, grasping my waist and pulling me down. His steps faltered, and we both tumbled to the floor while I landed on his bleeding body. She's just trying to cause trouble." Mavis's expression turned cold as he gazed at Estelle, "You don't need to cry, my love," he said, turning to Isabel and taking her hand. "The cameras will clear your name. Look, there's the broken glass of red wine, proof of her actions." Estelle's face contorted in anguish as she screamed, "You believe her? Why don't you ever listen to me? I was only sipping my wine when she pushed me!" Mavis's eyes fell on Estelle once more, "Congratulations, Estelle. Your jealousy has cost you dearly. You've lost your place and respect as a part of the Mulan family. You never deserved to bear our name. I'll call a doctor to tend to you, and then the police will take you away to serve your sentence. You're no longer welcome here." "Please, Mavis, don't call the polic

Third Person POV Soon after Bennett left, Estelle settled into the living room sofa, engaged in a conversation with Jason. "Did you not tell me that he lost his job?" Jason continued, "yet he resides in a Beverly Hills mansion? How did he achieve that?" "Maybe Isabel helped him, you know she has a big business now." "Her business is barely a month old, and I doubt her funds could afford even a single room in Beverly Hills," Jason replied. "I suspect Mr. Mulan must have provided financial assistance to Mavis. But if it's Isabel, what about her employees, will she even pay them?" "Hmph! That's none of our business, we should make our move when Isabel is alone, but be warned, the estate is heavily guarded by vigilant security personnel." "Don't worry, I have a team of thugs who'll take care of her until she miscarries," Jason said grinning over the phone as he thought of the pain he would be inflicting on his ex-turned-enemy. "Yes!" Third Person POV Bennett's gaze was riveted on the sentences displayed on the card: "...for the Midtown Group." The logo accompanying the text seemed familiar. Mavis, oblivious to Bennett's sudden fascination, stood upright and said, "Alright, let me get a maid to show Estelle to her quarters." "I'll be with you shortly," he added, but Bennett's attention remained fixed on the identity card as he retreated. Bennett sat there, astonished, her mind reeling with possible interpretations of what she had just seen around Mavis' neck. Isabel called her name for the third time, snapping her back to reality. "Oh, I'm so sorry. I was just... umm..." Bennett stuttered. "What's wrong?" Isabel asked, noticing Bennett's distraction. "Your husband-to-be..." Bennett started, trying to form a coherent sentence. Third Person POV "You're not just evil, you're the devil herself!" Bennett exclaimed, her voice trembling with rage while Estelle laughed hysterically. "Of course, I am. Are you just realizing that?" She raised an eyebrow, her gaze sweeping over Isabel and Bennett. Bennett turned to Isabel, "Listen, I know how you feel, but since you signed up for this, don't let her win." She urged. Isabel whispered back, "You mean I should kill her?" Her eyes darted to Estelle, who seemed to be enjoying the exchange." "No, but don't let her swing you around like a pendulum. Stand your ground, Isabel." As Mavis descended the stairs, his eyes scanned the room, taking in the tense atmosphere. His gaze landed on Bennett, and he understood that she could be tamed if ever she was upset about Isabel reuniting with him. But when his eyes met Estelle's, he was enraged. • My Secret, My Stepbrother    Chapter 127: Tug of War!

Third Person POV In a luxurious Beverly Hills setting, a lawyer exchanged warm pleasantries with the soon-to-be-wed couple, Mavis and Isabel, before grasping his briefcase. "Thank you for having me Mr and Mrs Mavis," he said with a bow, and Mavis shook hands with him in appreciation. "Thank you, Sir, for coming around." With a smile, the lawyer nodded at them. "I'll arrange for the statutory wedding in a day. Have a beautiful day together." "Thank you," Mavis and Isabel chimed in unison. Isabel's pregnancy had been causing her discomfort and mobility issues since it became more pronounced, making everyday tasks a challenge. Some things, like using the restroom, required personal attention that a maid couldn't provide. This was why Mavis had been staying home to assist with her daily needs and to help her get around. Isabel's mother had accompanied her to Mavis' house when they moved in two days ago. She returned the next day to make arrangements for Isabel's postnatal c

MAVIS For a while, there was dead silence until Mom cleared the air, "Your Dad had immediately arranged for a violinist, in the person of Jane, and a pianist to make today unforgettable for you two." After her smile, she looked at her husband who smiled with a nod in return. Dad turned to us while we were still entangled with each other, his words catching us off guard. "From this moment on, my rightful daughter-in-law will be none other than my stepdaughter, Isabel. No one will take her place. Got that?" I nodded, still in shock. "Yes, I understand. It's something I had already agreed to." The room erupted in applause. Jane was there too, exchanging a knowing glance with Isabel, who smiled briefly in response. "A confession please, I have one more confession to make," Isabel said stepping forward while the room became silent again. My heart palpitated and although no one else spoke up about being anxious, I knew I wasn't the only one experiencing anxiety in the room. She

ISABEL "The truth is, he captivates me even until now. I've always imagined him as a husband never as a stepbrother," I choked on my words as emotions attempted to overwhelm me. Mom opened her arms wide, inviting me into her bosom. "Come here, dear," she said. "I want you to be happy and fulfilled. I know you ran away because of Estelle's lies, which Mavis believed. If not for that, you would have stayed and claimed him as yours." I nodded because her words were true, "I'd always wished he wasn't my stepbrother, Mom" I admitted, my voice muffled against her shoulder. "But I can't wish that he had chosen a different path to be with me because if he had, you wouldn't be with Mr. Mulan." Mom held me tighter. When she had released me, her face lit up with a broad smile. "Anyway, for peace to reign and for everyone to be content, we've decided to let go of the past. We're free to choose what makes us happy, as long as it doesn't come between us. And that's why...," she paused for a mom
