CHAPTER 394

ARIA’S POV

Reaching out to the Mitchells weighs heavily on my mind. Ethan was my best friend, just like Stella. I feel a deep sense of obligation to them, even if our recent interactions have been strained and awkward. It doesn’t help that I suspect they might not have particularly warm feelings towards me right now, especially after everything that has happened.

The idea of suddenly appearing at their doorstep, announcing that my memory has miraculously returned, and offering to help find Ethan feels almost absurd. But I can’t shake the need to do something, to reach out in some way. Maybe if I talk to Stella first, I can explain myself, tell her about my memory coming back, and maybe, just maybe, we can work together to help the Mitchells find Ethan.

The thought of Ethan fills me with a deep, gnawing grief. He was in that crash too, and I have no idea if he survived. It’s a hollow, painful feeling, knowing that I made it out alive but not knowing what happened to him.
