CHAPTER 329

ARIA’S POV

The tension on the ship is evident as the pirates surround us, their presence oppressive and menacing. Adam's grip on my hand tightens momentarily before the leader demands he let go. I feel a surge of fear as the leader’s cold eyes lock onto mine, his command ringing out to his men, his voice dripping with authority and disdain.

"Take her to the motorboat!"

Adam, ever protective, immediately protests, he insists, his voice steady but laced with barely restrained anger.

"It’s not necessary. She can stay here, on my ship."

The leader’s smirk returns, his gaze narrowing as he sizes up Adam, his tone mocking, while he glances at me.

"You must be used to getting what you want, aren’t you? Always needing that princess treatment."
