“I have something for you.” She said pulled something from behind her. It was a jewellery box. I drew in a shaky breath when I looked at it.
“What is this mom?” I asked her nevertheless.
“This is something Edward’s mom gave to his first wife, then he gave it me and now, I’m passing on this legacy to you as you’re my oldest daughter in law. You will except it right?” She asked me so much hope in her eyes that I couldn’t possibly said no.
“Sure.” I said and a smile immediately made its way up to her lips.
“Oh I’m so lucky we have someone like you Sabrina! Wear this tonight ok?” she said pulling me in hug. I was still bit flustered about everything but I guess it’s for the best. Reine left the room and I sat on the bed looking at the black velvet box.
