Chapter 6 - I guess, I’m head over heels in love to marry you

“Can I ask you a question?” he snap back when he heard her.

“Mmmm”

“What happen, I mean why am I in the hospital.”

“You don’t remember?” he surprisingly asked.

Duh! as if, I will ask if I remember.

“Well, yeah, actually I have some vague memories but I’m not really sure. So, let say that I don’t remember anything. Didn’t you say, you have already talked to the doctor?”

“Yes”

“And he didn’t say about me having a temporary amnesia”

“He mentioned but I just don’t know as to what you do and don’t remember”

“Okay, well as I have said I have some vague memories but basically that is only my childhood memories”

I’m sure you are not part of my childhood.

“I just don’t ask the little boy as he might interpreted it in a different way, so, I’m waiting for an adult to appear to whom I can ask” she continued.

“You are afraid for our son to misinterpreted but you’re not afraid that I may misunderstood?” he said but he is already started to thank God as it might be the chance for them to be a real family and it would be good if she will not regain her past memory. She only needs to know that she has a husband and a son.

“What misunderstanding it may cause to you, of course, you already know that I have an amnesia and your son may think that I am denying him if I don’t recognize him”

“I get it. Okay, actually, you got into a car accident and you’ve been in a coma for over a month.”

“Yeah, the doctor already told me that. Am I that a reckless driver. I shouldn’t have drive if I don’t know how to drive” she said. Actually, she doesn’t know how to drive and good thing because she can used the trauma effect not to drive and for them not to think anything is weird in her.

“No. Your not a reckless driver. You are the most safest driver I’ve ever met”.

“Is there something as the safest driver?”

“Yeah, you” he said with a smile. She was looking with the man when suddenly it smile that blank her brain cells.

OMG, his becoming cheesy, I can’t go on like this, I’m starting to love this man. Wait, what did I say, LOVE, this is not good. I may not be immune with this man’s charm because I haven’t yet experience to flirt with a man. But, on the other hand, I have all the right to flirt....hahaha!!! Come on girl, this is the time to be reckless since he is your husband and you have the legal right, promise you are not a flirty, you are still conservative type. Well, I guess the saying that “a girl can only show her cute side to a person she wants” is true. I’m definitely a person who is cold and I already accepted that fact but it is different when I’m talking to this instant husband of her. She said to herself.

“Ahem!” she cough go clear her minds. “Then, who am I? Can you tell me all you know about me and our family”

“Sure” the man said and smiled.

She has to know because she realized that this is now her reality. Before she can still say that she might be dreaming and will come back after she wakes up but she already wakes up and she is still in this situation with her instant son and husband.

“You are Arrianne Montemayor, you’ve been working as a model before we got married. And after our marriage you resigned to your work because you were pregnant with our son, Dean Adrian. Adrian is seven years old right now and in his first grade.”

Arrianne Montemayor? She has the same name as me but different surname. We also have different profession.

“That’s all. How about you? what’s your name? your work? how we met? how many years we dated before we decided to settle down? Did I not work after the birth of our son? Was I a famous model?”

He is such a man of a few words. Can’t he just explain everything in one go.

“I’m Dean Harvey Collantes, I’m managing my own company. We met through our work, you were the model of our company. It takes us three months before we got married. And you no longer work after your last work. You’re famous.”

“Really!”

“Huh”

“I mean, in just three months, we got married?”

“Yeah” Harvey said while being feeling anxious.

“Did we just married in civil or in church”

“We married in church in America”

“Oh, I guess I’m head over heels in love to marry you in just three months and considering the preparation of a wedding, I guess that the marriage was first decided at the latest a month before the date of the wedding because there must be preparation for that.” she said analyzing the situation of the marriage.

Did I seduce him? I know why am I being flirty right now...because it already happens in the past and it is normal. Yeah, girl it’s normal, so don’t worry. Maybe, what she remembers is a dream because she has the passion for cooking.

“You really think that you are head over heels in love with me? What if I am the one who is head over heels in love with you, that’s why I no longer want to risk any chances that the other guy will approach you.”

“Well, that can be said, I think I’m too beautiful for you to resist.” she narcissistically said.

“But I guess in a third person point of view, there is no woman who will marry for a short period of knowing each other if she’s not in love with the guy. Besides, you are so handsome for me to resist, I guess I also don’t want other woman to covet you and I want to monopolize your attention.” she seriously said as if analyzing the situation of other person. Of course, if it is her old self, she will not said that, she is a conservative and reserve type. It so happen that they are husband and wife with a son and being bold in complementing is normal.

“Well, I’m happy to hear that you are head over heels in love with me” Harvey said and slightly smile.

“What am I doing right now? Do I work?”

“You are not working.”

“What I usually do? Just in the house? A typical housewife?”

“You sometimes go to your cousin Anaya to help her for her career as a model”. Harvey said while gritting his teeth. Now that she has an amnesia, he doesn’t want her to be with Anaya but sooner or later they will meet again and all he has to do was to put some ideas to Arrianne that going out with Anaya is not a good thing but he doesn’t know how.

“You don’t seem to like her?”

“It’s not like that. Actually ....”

“You can tell me. Now that I don’t remember anything, maybe it is a good thing to reevaluate everything. If she is good or bad will depend on my own judgment. But as a husband, at least I need to hear your honest opinion to people I’m having contact with. In the past, I may not listening to other people because I’m close to her but right now, I don’t know her. I will not listen to your opinion to judge her right away but at least I have some points to note.”

“Well, to be honest, I just hope that you interact with her less. I don’t want to totally forbid you in talking to her because you trusted her but I hope that you can see her intention. I don’t want you to be suspicious to people around you but since you don’t remember right now, I hope you be careful.”

“Yeah, I get it. Are you not afraid that I will also be suspicious to you?”

“I am but if it will help you, I am willing to risk everything. I’m here, just ask everything you want. I will never lie to you.”

“Okay, I guess, I will just figure out the other things and maybe one of this day, my memory will come back.” she said.

“Just remember that we are always here for you.” Harvey sighed for relief as he doesn’t want to tell her all the bad things in their relationship that may lead for her to leave him and their son. He will not lie to her if she ask but if he can avoid talking to the bad things, then he will do everything to avoid it. He is praying that she will no longer be able to remember the past and that they just start all over again.

“Mmmm, can you help me, I want to rest, you also need to rest. I guess you are not having good rest as your eyes shows exhaustion”

“I’m alright, don’t worry about me, as long as you are safe and can still be with me, I am satisfied” Harvey said.

“Can’t you say that, your too cheesy, I’m having a goosebumps” she jokingly said while smiling.

“Okay. You rest first, I’ll just clean up” he said while helping her to recline back her bed.
