THE DOCUMENTS

Emily sat on the couch, staring at the coffee table cluttered with half-empty cups and scattered papers. She was fuming, she knew she had to do something about the documents concerning Leah. She had to find a way to get her hands on them before he did something irreversible. Alex had already left for work, and this was her chance.

Emily, (muttering to herself) "I just need to find those papers. I know he’s hiding them somewhere."

She started rummaging through drawers and cabinets, her frustration growing with every passing minute. She checked his study, the bedroom, even the kitchen, but the documents were nowhere to be found. Exhausted, she slumped down on the couch, wiping sweat from her brow.
