Leah glanced at her phone; Richie was calling.

"Hey babe, how are you?" he asked.

"Alive. On my way to the hospital."

"Oh okay. I am about to go in for a meeting and I wanted to hear from you first. I hope your driver is driving calmly?" Richie asked.

"I didn’t go with Paul. I told him he could stay back today. I need some alone time, and the guards have been hovering. I can't breathe. I’m not in the mood to be followed, and lately, I get irritated over the smallest things. So, I’m driving myself," Leah explained.

Richie frowned. "Babe, that’s not safe. You’re unwell. You should’ve let Paul drive and just told the guards to stay back."

"I’m fine," Leah insisted, her tone firm. "Please, I just need some space."

"Okay, but be careful. Alright? I love you"

"Sure, I will, love you too" Leah said before hanging up.

Few minutes later, Leah sat in the small, sterile office at the hospital, anxiously tapping her fingers on her knee.

Her mind raced as she waited for the doctor to arrive.
