Creed

I opened my eyes and numbness set into my body. I could not feel my arms, my legs, my head, and every other part of my body.

I was feeling my head; it was lighter than it used to be, at least that was what I felt at the moment. Pangs of headache seeped in and out of my head.

“Argh,” I groaned out in pain and I heard my wife’s voice faintly.I closed my eyes.

“Creed! Creed! Papa!” Her voice was clearer now, my eyes flung open. I waited for her to hug me, but she ran out inside.

I looked around me and I saw drips connected to my body. I slept right after my stepmom left the ward. That was the last thing I remember. I knew I was struggling to keep up with their conversation, but I slept right after she left.

The head doctor of the hospital came in with Athena by his side. She could have just clicked on a button here to alert them.

“Mr Wells.” I smiled at the doctor, but he wasn’t smiling back.
