Chapter 5

Star POV:

Stepping off the plane I stop in my tracks not wanting to move feeling nervous all of a sudden. I guess it's because I'm in a new place I've never been before. Travis and Lola has always come to visit us back home during the holidays and summer break because mom and dad were always busy with work. Travis notices my discomfort and tells me everything will be okay, and that I will love it here.

We don't have to wait for our luggage because everything was shipped the night before so, it would be at the house when we got there. Arriving at the house I get out of the car and just stare at their house it is absolutely beautiful with its old-fashioned Victorian style it looks like a miniature castle.

Heading inside it’s just as beautiful as the outside with its high ceilings, wrap around staircase, dark painted walls, and a chandelier that hangs right in the middle of the entrance to the house. Lola shows me my room which is up the spiral steps on the second floor to the left. I open the door and am shocked at how big my room is Lola starts to laugh and says I take it you like the room. I start jumping up and down saying I love it. She finishes laughing and tells me to make myself at home, then when you are ready I'll give you a tour of the house.

Lola excused herself to help Travis, so I start to look around my new room opening the first door I come to I have a bathroom of my own with a stand up shower and separate bathtub. Coming out of the bathroom I go to the other door opening it's a huge walk in closet with all of my stuff already in it is some extra room for more items.

That's weird I thought Travis and Lola lived hereby themselves I'll have to ask them later. Finishing looking at my room the walls are a light green and brown color and right in the middle of the room is a king-sized princess bed. Looking out my window which takes up half my wall my breath hitches at the view. Outside there is an amazing garden with so many pretty flowers, and a water fall fountain in the middle following the stone path it leads to the forest.

I will definitely have to see where it goes later. Making my way back downstairs all the door are opened in the hallway, but for one that is locked. I wonder why since all the other doors are open but for this one I try to open it again after a few more failed attempts, I give up, and make my way downstairs to the living room.

I find Lola, and she asks if I'm ready for the tour, I tell her yes, and she jumps up from the couch excited for the tour of the house going through the kitchen, living room, dining room and 2 bathrooms downstairs. We head upstairs, and she shows me the 3 bathrooms, where her and Travis's bedroom is and three other spare rooms. That's when I ask her about the locked door, and she brushes it off saying it's just Travis's work office, No one goes in there but him. “Oh Okay”.

Going outside she shows me the beautiful garden, but we don't go down the stone path she tells me never to go in the forest because there are wolves and other dangerous animals. Looking at her face I know she is hiding something but I don't ask. That makes me want to investigate even more maybe when they fall asleep I'll check it out.

Lola leads me to the side if the house where the garage is and it's connected to the house walking through the door I see 3 care and two motorbikes my eyes light up at the baby blue 1969 mustang convertible. Travis shows up, and throws me the keys and tells me it's mine. I jump up and down in excitement saying thank you thank you thank you. Lola tells me it was my parent’s car, and they always told them if anything was to ever happen to them the car gets transferred into my name.

I start to feel something wet on my check I didn't even realize I was crying then Lola wrapped me up in a motherly hug, and that makes me cry even more that I start full on ugly crying remembering my parents.
