Chapter 3. Misunderstanding

"Zoe Ailee." Aaron carefully read the two words displayed on the tablet screen in front of him, under the name, Aaron could see a photo of the girl he slept with last night striking a sweet yet sexy pose at the same time with the cream dress she was wearing.

Yes, Ailee was a singer under Gloss Entertainment, a fairly prominent entertainment agency in the country. Unfortunately, the name Zoe Ailee is not well known to many people, some people think that Ailee is an unsellable and unfamous singer.

Aaron doesn't know, but the girl can look elegant but sometimes looks menacing too. Interesting.

"So her real name is Ailee Elysia," Aaron muttered softly, after he finished reading Ailee's bio that Edric presented.

Edric, the tan—skinned man who was Aaron's confidant was already nodding in response. "Zoe is her stage name."

"Are you sure she's not the girl who was with Daran Cam?" Aaron asked.

Edric nodded. "She came to meet Simon, the CEO of Gloss Entertainment."

"Isn't that the agency the girl is with?"

"Yes, after investigation, Simon asked Miss Zoe to the club to discuss the renewal of her contract with the Agency, but Miss Zoe was instead forced to serve Simon's lust, Miss Zoe managed to escape after injuring Simon's shoulder with a fork while at the scene of the crime, it was further confirmed after seeing Simon's examination results at the hospital this morning which showed his shoulder was injured by a blunt object."

Aaron unconsciously sighed softly, his hand placed the tablet on the table and switched to massaging his temple which was throbbing with pain. This was the first time he had made a mistake. Blame Ailee's lips that were too tempting and encouraged him to do more, especially Aaron was overcome with emotion at that time.

"Find the people who betrayed last night and kill them, bring Daran Cam before me alive, I want to cut off his head with my own hands," Aaron growled. Yes, Daran Cam is one of the people who knows his illegal business, they work together to do illegal work, when Daran Cam's side is finished money laundering, they instead intend to betray Aaron by taking all his money and setting him up using a bitch who has the same dress as Ailee.

That night, when Aaron managed to read the atmosphere quickly, he immediately shot several people who were with Daran Cam. The situation that night was chaotic, Daran Cam managed to escape with their money, the bitch who accidentally saw Aaron's eyes change to wolf eyes also managed to escape. Unfortunately Aaron didn't get to see her face because it was covered by a face cloth.

"What about Miss Zoe?" asked Edric, snapping Aaron out of his reverie.

Ailee opened her eyes slowly. The first thing she saw was the familiar ceiling, Ailee's eyes blinked a few times until she realized that she was in her flat.

"A dream? It was all a dream?" That thought immediately entered her head.

Before Ailee could breathe a sigh of relief, the girl was already hissing softly as she felt the pain in her lower body. The wounds on her legs were beginning to be felt as well but it was the lower part that was most noticeable.

Like being hit by concrete, Ailee had to accept the terrible reality that had befallen her. "It wasn't a dream," Ailee murmured in a trembling voice, becoming even more certain when she saw that the pajamas she was currently wearing were not hers.

Even though this was her flat, but Ailee didn't feel safe at all, those people managed to enter her flat so easily—no—they even knew where she lived. Ailee was already hugging her own body, she started crying with her body shaking.

If she could go back in time, Ailee would never have listened to her friend's words to leave for the night. Ailee felt so stupid and despicable right now.

At that moment, Ailee could hear someone pressing her keylock password, after the confirmation sound, her flat door opened from the outside.

"Hey Zoe! Where were you last night? The boss had an accident last night, he's now in the hospital, but I wanted to ask you about your contract, your cell phone is also unreachable!"

Ailee heard the nagging female voice. Sunny—her friend and manager—walked over to the room and opened the dark brown door, the girl was still ranting, and Ailee knew that Sunny had called her Zoe, which meant she was very upset with her.

Sunny gasped when she saw Ailee curled up on her bed crying, her anger evaporating into thin air at the sight of Ailee's disheveled figure, her face replaced with a worried look. "What's wrong? Why are you crying?" Sunny rushed over to the bed and grabbed Ailee's shoulders in concern.

Instead of answering, Ailee's sobs grew louder, as if the girl had found an excuse to vent her sadness. Sunny panicked even more, and hugged her best friend's body to channel positive energy.

After Ailee's crying subsided, Sunny released her embrace and cupped Ailee's wet cheeks, her eyes showing concern. "Tell me, what happened?" Ailee should have known that Sunny would still interrogate her.

"Last night, I went to Club Mirotic," Ailee replied hoarsely.

"Okay, then?" Sunny was certainly surprised, Ailee was a naive girl who wouldn't go to a place like that, let alone a club, she'd never even touched alcohol. However, Sunny was good at hiding her surprise and continued to pry information out of her friend.

"Leyna said I should meet Mr. Simon there," Ailee continued hesitantly.

Sunny was surprised when their boss's name came up. She had a bad feeling, did this have anything to do with Mr. Simon being hospitalized? But Sunny tried to hold back her questions and let Ailee finish her sentence without pressure.

"I actually knew that Mr. Simon was going to terminate my contract. Leyna said that Mr. Simon had a solution so that my contract could be extended and I could also have more airtime to appear on all television stations as well as famous channels on social media. Leyna said I should talk to Mr. Simon at the club and she even gave me a dress. I don't know, but when I came ...." Ailee didn't continue her sentence, her voice caught in her throat.

The image of her being almost harassed by the man named Simon came back to her mind, when he told her to come closer and immediately pounced on her on the bar sofa, Ailee even remembered her shocked self struggling with all her might, especially when the damn man's hand pulled the shoulder strap of her dress until it broke, on one occasion Ailee managed to grab a metal fork that was on a fruit plate near the sofa and stab Simon's shoulder with all her might and managed to escape.

Seeing that Ailee was about to cry again, Sunny hugged her friend again and patted her shoulder lightly. Sunny didn't want to say it, but seeing Ailee's response, she seemed to have guessed what had happened last night.

"We should report that jerk," Sunny said without letting go of her hug.

Ailee shook her head strongly. A scandal for a female artist always ended up being a grave for her career, especially when it wasn't Simon who did it, Ailee didn't know the man who took away her chastity last night, but the girl had a feeling that he was a dangerous person, Ailee even still remembered the dominance that the man showed, just remembering it made Ailee scared again.

"Why?! We have to teach him a lesson!" fumed Sunny when she saw Ailee's refusal.

"I managed to escape from Mr. Simon after injuring his shoulder," Ailee admitted.

"I know! That's why he's in the hospital, and he's still guilty, even if he didn't touch you-"

Sunny's voice trailed off when she heard Ailee crying again, and she couldn't help but calm her friend down again. "Then we should teach Leyna a lesson, as a fellow artist she shouldn't have conspired to frame you."

It felt like Sunny's voice was lost on Ailee as her mind went back to last night.

"I... slept with another man," Ailee finally admitted in a voice choked with tears.

Sunny couldn't hide her shocked expression any longer.

"Who fucked you?!" demanded Sunny, the girl really furious this time.
