Clara stared worriedly at Karl who has been sitting in his study room since last night. She placed the mug of coffee on the table and touched his hand that was resting on his laps.

He didn't react to her touch since he was in a deep thought.

"Karl" she called out his name shaking him slightly, he snapped out of his daze and faced her with a frown. "Is anything wrong? haven't I warned you not to enter here without my permission"

"You've been sitting here since last night and I was wondering if everything was alright"

Karl hissed in annoyance, this lady just keeps on getting on his nerves. No matter how hard he tried to chase her out of his life she just wouldn't budge.

"What could be alright if you are here? don't you get it? you shouldn't get yourself attached to me and my affairs"

Clara shuddered at his cold tone, her eyes sting as his words resounded in her ears. After all these years together with him he still hasn't changed his cold attitude towards her.
