Lyra and I stood in the clearing, the weight of the night pressing down upon us, a sense of weariness settled over her. I could see the exhaustion etched into the lines of her face, the burden of the day's events weighing heavily upon her shoulders.

“I better get some rest.” She whispered under her breath.

With a heavy sigh, Lyra began to walk back towards the cabin where she was staying, her steps slow and deliberate. I watched her go, a pang of sympathy tugging at my heart. She was too weak to pull away, and I knew that she needed someone to lean on.

Closing the distance between us, I reached out and gently took her hand in mine, offering her a silent gesture of support.

I felt the slight pull, as though she wanted to remove her hand from mine but decided against it.

She looked up at me, her eyes filled with gratitude and a hint of vulnerability.

"Where are you going?" I asked softly, my voice barely above a whisper as I walked alongside her.
