Amara
I had to try and find Riley and make my way out of the club, my whole mind was racing. What just happened? Who was that incredible man?All of a sudden I saw Riley dancing with the same man on the dance floor that I left her with.I pulled at her arm, "Ry come on I want to leave" I begged. It took her a few seconds to recognise that it was me,"Amara! Heyyyyy, where where have youuu b-been"She was slurring her words. I could smell on her breath and on her clothes that she had loads to drink already. She was completely drunk with her arms wrapped around some random man."Mara Mara, this is Peter. Peter is a reallyyy g-good dancer and he is a lot of fun. Oh my god he's got a f-friend perfect for youuuu" she slurred out.Peter kindly smiles at me getting ready to speak before Riley bursts out in front of him."Peter d-do youuuu think that your friend can help Amara out, she's a bit uptight" she loudly whispered, believing that she was being quiet."Riley!" I shout at her."Whatttttt Amara, a-am I wrong" she continued."You're drunk" I fired back."Well yes of course but am I wrong?" She started laughing.I rolled my eyes and just stayed quiet. Maybe I am too uptight, but that's only because I want to live my life in a gentle way."Amara, um this is my friend Jonah" Peter says to me while bringing over his friend that was every girls cliche type. Tall, dark and handsome.I can't lie this man was breath taking but I wasn't in the mood to stay any longer than I had to."Hi I'm Jonah" he introduced to me with his hand held out.Just to be polite I accepted and shook his hand, "I'm Amara""Amara" he repeated to me, "that is a beautiful name" He winks at me."Thank you, and I don't want to be rude but we have to go because it's getting late and some of us are just too drunk to stand up right now" I said while gesturing my hand towards Riley. Both Peter and Jonah looked at me with concern,"Noooo come on beautiful the night has just begun" Jonah said to me while advancing forward and grabbing me by the waist.I tried my best to pull away from his grip but he was too strong for me to."No I think we need to get going now!” I insistedRiley suddenly jolted up as if she was waking herself up."Amara I'm going to stay for a bit longer because I haven't been out in soooo long, but you can go home if you want" she continued to slur.I would argue with her and stay by her side or trying to get her some but she's was way too stubborn for that I won't listen to me regardless of what I said.I hesitantly started to make my way to the exit of the club making sure to tell Riley to text me when she wants to leave and keep me updated. As I began to walk my way home in this disgustingly painful heels. I began to shiver and shake from every muscle in my body.My feet were in agony and my whole body was frozen, I was trying my best to keep warm but nothing seemed to work. All of a sudden a limo pulled up right next to me with the driver lowering his window to talk to me."Excuse me mam, I have been instructed to bring you to your home safely by my boss" he instructedI was so confused. What?"I'm sorry but I don't get into strangers cars, my mother as I'm sure every mother taught their children that." I spiked back.I carried on walking no matter how hurt my feet were I was determined to get home. The man just continued to follow me in the limo,"come on miss, my boss won't let me let you walk home and I'll probably get fired if you don't get home safe" he pleaded to me as I continued to walk."I'm sorry sir but that is not my problem." I said more determined than ever."Miss my bosses name is killian Medici" he told me.I just gave him a more confused look and walking with a limp now because of how bad my feet hurt."And why would that matter?" I told him.My feet now began to cramp up and I had to stop waking from the pain, I took my heels off and small tears began to roll from my eyes."He told me that he met you in the club tonight, that he had unfinished business with you" the driver now came out of the car to help me up onto my painful feet. That man. That must be him."I'm sorry, but does your boss happen to have bright green eyes and dark hair" I asked. The driver smiled at me and nodded his head, "yes mam"I was still hesitant of whether to go with this man, for some reason I let this stranger in a club grope me and now I'm getting driven home by his driver. This is a strange night."You're going to take me straight home?" I once again asked with more innocence to my voice."That's what I've been told to do, yes" he insisted.I nodded my head towards the man and he helped guide me into the limo where i slouched back in pain."I'm sorry, but what is your name?" I asked him."Antonio"He has a nice warm smile that felt very welcoming and humble.I wonder why this killian wanted me to get home safety even though I've just met him."Antonio can you do me a favour?""Of course mam what's wrong?" He said very concerned."Well my bestfriend is still in the club, can you drive her home safely like you've done with me?"He simply replied with, "I will mam"“Aww, you boys are cute. You think you can intimidate me?” Her laugh rang out, stronger now. She was nothing like the girl I had come to know. Completely different. Arrogant, yes, but in a sexy, confident way. She demanded attention instead of shying away from it. “Answer the question.” My voice rose slightly, and her eyes rolled toward me. I was leaning against a desk in the dark corner, arms crossed, radiating a seriousness she had never seen before. Her eyes widened slightly, then locked onto mine, her smirk deepening. Sexy. Stop it, Killian. “I’m surprised it took you boys so long to figure it out. I mean, I was absent from this house for a while, same time as the attacks.” Her confidence grew with every word. Even tied to a chair, she held the upper hand, using it to toy with three men surrounding her. “Who are you working for?” Cosimo stepped closer, arms crossed like mine. Her head rolled toward him, smirk still prominent. “And what makes you think I work for anyone?”
Taking his hand in mine, he shook it firmly, one hand in mine and the other resting on top, holding the shake with purpose. “You got a last name with that?” he asked, letting go and stepping back slightly. “King.” His face shifted through a series of emotions—bewilderment, confusion, then sudden shock and realization. I had seen that look many times, always when I revealed my last name. Many knew it, and those who didn’t learned quickly. “King? You’ve never told me that before. Why does that sound familiar?” Killian’s hand went to his lightly stubbled chin, rubbing it as his eyes narrowed in thought. Andreas stepped back another pace, creating distance between us. I was used to it. “Killian, we need to talk. Now,” Andreas said, leading him toward a door I assumed led to the next room. I worried about leaving Andreas alone with him. Clearly he knew something, and I didn’t want it to come out. Killian followed out, and I was left in silence with Cosimo and Antonio. I didn’t know
Amara. Of course it was her. I hadn’t seen her in so long, but I could never forget those perfect features. All eyes were on her. Men wanted to take her home, but like that would ever happen. She was untouchable. I made my way over, a mix of shock and disbelief coursing through me. Why was she here, of all places? This wasn’t a place she should be, not with everything that could go down tonight. “Amara?” My voice was low, quiet, but laced with dominance and raw masculinity. Her eyes met mine as she turned. Shock flickered across her face, lips parted just enough, hazel eyes widening at the sight of me. “What are you doing here?” I asked, my hand brushing lightly against her arm as I drew her a little closer. She couldn’t speak, words fumbling and breaking into stutters. I raised an eyebrow, giving her a look of silent question. Her body shifted, pulling back slightly, just enough to tease me, just enough to make the air between us thick with tension. “I- I didn’t know you wou
Andreas gave a devilish smirk, one eyebrow arched. He was waiting for me to make a move, and now I had taken him off his leash. He was the wild card of our group. Unpredictable, dangerous. Anything could set him off, and whoever crossed him would suffer the price. We stepped out of my office and into the living room where the others were gathered, tense and ready for instruction. “Right, are we all ready?” I called out, my eyes sweeping over each face, making sure they understood just how serious this was. “Can you run through the plan again?” a voice asked from the group. I shrugged off my blazer and tossed it onto the nearest chair, revealing a wrinkled white shirt. Rolling the sleeves up to my elbows, the veins along my arms stood out in the low light. “We are heading to the Anarchy Club tonight. I want every exit and corner covered. Andreas, you are in the VIP rooms with me, Antonio, and Sebastian.” The three of them nodded without hesitation, no objections, ready to a
Leaning back in my chair I chose to break the silence. "You three gentlemen have come here to tell me about something I was already aware of then? That's all?" I questions raising my eyebrow at all three. They all shared a confused look and look around at each other to almost say the exact same response."You knew about the future attack and the plans people are making."A smirk appeared on my lips. It was rather demonic and powerful."You clearly don't know whose office you've stepped in if you think I'm a step behind a bunch of ammeters."They opened their mouths to speak but I quickly cut them off by continuing."Therefore you being here is completely pointless and I sit here thinking that I have three worthless people in my office wasting my time. Which leads to the question, what the fuck are you still doing here."Asserting my dominance they all averted their gaze off of me and looked towards the floor. None of them wished to anger me even further."Well?" I growled, gritting my
"How did you meet my brother then?" He questioned stepping slightly closer to me.My throat was able to swallow a large gulp of saliva that was stuck in my throat before answering."He saw me at a club. I was there for my birthday." I shyly answered.Cosimo chuckled lightly shaking his head and averting his gaze from me and towards the floor."Let me guess. He then made it his mission to find you after that night because you didn't throw yourself at him like every other girl." He continued raising his eyebrow already knowing the answer before I could respond.I smiled slightly, "I guess you could say that,I'm sorry that you have to see me like this, I'm usually not this careless with alcohol." Apologising with my hand rubbing against my head to soothe the aching."I’m sure you aren't." Cosimo brought his gaze back to me and giving me a slight smirk.I thought for a second trying to regain any memory. You know when you know that there's something that you're supposed to remember but yo
