Chapter EightyChapter Eighty.Nina’s POV.Chirp.Chirp.The morning sunlight greeted me, so as I heard the birds chirping. Ako ay nasa tabi parin ng bintana at tinignan ang mga halaman at puno. The garden is very visible here.It was a peaceful and lovely morning. And the weather would seem do good for the entire day.“haaaa.” I yawned as I stretch my limbs and arm dahil I stayed rooted on my spot for quite a long time. It would be a perfect morning if it just wasn’t for that nightmare. The sunlight shines over me, casting a deep shadow on my back.My body and mind feels so exhausted that I feel I would collapse anytime soon."Rin... You didn't sleep... i bet you... must be feeling shitty... Right now..."Droon said and criticize out of the blue.Napakunot naman ang noo ko and my eyes squinted."Droon! Language!" I immediately scolded."Unn... sorry... But it's true..." Labag sa loob na pahingi nito ng pasensya. I could even see him rolling his eyes right now.Napa buntong hininga na
"Haa! Haa!" I panted heavily as I opened my eyes in hurry.I feel i was suffocating because of too much oxygen around me. It was not the same with I can't breath because it lack but rather it was too much.As if i was drowning.Big and cold sweat formed around my forehead. My lips and hands trembled like the coldest breeze from the north brush into my skin. My body was shaking because of the intense.I look around just for me sigh in relief that I was still in the greenhouse. It felt so real that i could still feel the sticky blood covering my body and cold and sharp tip of the mysterious goo."Droon!" I shouted in panic as I didn't hear him.My heart beat was racing to fast because of the thought that Droon might be gone."Droon!" I shouted again, my voice crack up and trembled.I'm starting to feel hot in my eyes. No... No!... No! I felt my cheeks getting wet as seconds past. Napayuko ako as i stared blankly at the ground. "No... This can't be..." i muttered in a crack voice. Thi
Chapter Eighty-Three. After the almost incident in greenhouse agad akong lumayo at tuluyang lumabas. I don’t want another freaking accident, just give me a break for all this events. I still have a royal banquet to prepare, a crown prince to deal with, a contract with Hilbert, and I still need to contact and write a letter to Lady Sotelo. Pero first of all, I just want to unwind and walk around for now. I want another scenary to freshen my mind, I got nothing else in my mind right now but relax. Yan na lang tagala ang hiling ko for the whole duration of my stay here. I am a coward. That much has always been certain, from the very moment I woke up from this world. I was only ever brave in my dreams and delusion; brave in leading this so called storyline to an end and return to safety, brave in pretending that everything wasn’t stressful, brave in standing up and adjust to this unfamiliar place, brave in fighting off the shining shields and polished swords that had invaded my peacef
Chapter Eighty-Four. The Royal Banquet would be more than a week now, and my feet were going to fall asleep if I had to stand still any longer. “Just a moment, milady.” Said the tailor through a mouthful of pins. “Only a few more alterations.” She had said that an hour ago. I distracted myself by looking in the mirror. All I could do is to marvel at the dress instead of twirling just to see how the skirts would billow around me. The dress itself held snug against my waist before flaring around her, a single piece of light blue fabric draped on the side like the off colored petal of a lily, the sleeves were long and off the shoulder, rimmed at the end with black and baby blue. “And I think that will be all milady.” Sofia, the dressmaker announced as she roll the measuring tape on her hands and smile at me. I sigh in relief dahil naka hinga na ulit ako. It was painstakingly long and painful, especially the bust and waist part. I need a new corset, and taking the measurement almost
Chapter Eighty-Five. I have finally arrived on my chamber. Opening the polished double wooden door, I immediately went inside. Click. The door closed with a soft click, I walked upfront to my desk. The letter isn't here yet kaya instead of wasting my time, I should probably practice my magic and assess myself. Grabbing some goat skin papers, ink and a quill. I started writing what I have discovered new about dark magic. What I have notice the most is that I have gain a control over shadows. It was not something I was expecting. Darkness as an attribute was such a very interesting thing. Black and Dark magic's properties and usage are totally different from each other. They almost look a like but it's only the outside appearance. The outer shell of both elements are in same in density but when it comes to construction, their magic circles are converted differently. Darkness and shadows are no colors, they don't reflect light like most of the elements. And shadows are kinda hard t
Chapter Seventy. Nina’s POV “The southeast really is different.” my eyes reflected a new scenary. It was very different from the busy Capital, but the people and establishment almost look the same. I saw a mother feeding her son a meal. It remind me of my mother, my mom from earth. She loved being able to cook and bake meals for her loved ones - thrived on taking care of the children. It was the nature of our to only be able to produce one child and even that was difficult for them, so Mama and Papa had felt very lucky when their little child came along. Then when mother and father’s work asked them to transfer in the city, Grandma who of course disagreed immediately. It may be the nature of our family to only have one child, that maybe the reason why my grandma was so overprotective of me and my mother, to be a mother and she'd always wanted a large family. “The atmosphere feels mixed up.” That was what came out of my mouth based on what I saw out through the window. Rita seemed
Chapter Eighty-Five That night was a little bit boring than the usual so she took some time to spent it on a quiet street it really seems to be needing a rutted leafy road. On the other side of the town was a huge secret garden which is quite proportioned with some of the houses across the street. While on the damp green grasses were coconut trees, jasmine flowers, and pine trees and it is noticeable that these were taken care of to give shade and the vibe of the garden, its scenery indeed offers serenity to the owners of the place. It has a mesmerizing overlooking deep lawns, quiet pool but there are some areas that were not visited over a long period of time. Algaes and some patches of grass discoloration were also over the walls. The house portrays a strong yet quite formal front which faces the road from the side of the metal railings. There is no doubt that the owner of this house is a man. The exterior design has a lot sharp edges mostly in the balcony and it shows masculinity
Chapter Eighty-Six While on the way home, she was a bit startled and it shows that it was evidently not the kind of situation she expected. Madame Azi's voice is calming and soothing. However she did spent some time illustrating what she had overheard on the conversation a while ago. "And what do you think is it all about dear?" Bernard asked her. "Um- I can't really recall everything but it did not sound that familiar to me. I guess it is some of the old folk songs before." Madame Azi said. He watched her as Madame Azi slowly turned her head and her eyes instanty met those of his. Bernard have saw them as he focused on her blissful face. But how? Is she really the mother of that cute little boy? After a while he momentarily looked at Madame and found his recovering posture. He laughed incredulously and fixed his eyes on Madame Azi who was sitting opposite across to him. She then also noticed that she was really unable to hold her gaze any longer, instead she just decided to l
Special Chapter. The smell of salty air invaded my nose and lungs, looking at horizon as the sun began to rise it was filled with sparkling diamonds. The sea was something I haven’t seen in my life. My eyes wavered at the site of the port. It was bustling with people and vendors, many dork workers are moving left and right. Ako ay napabuntong hininga at nag simulang mag lakad habang hawak ko ang aking suit case. There was a wooden notice board on the entrance of harbor, naglakad ako papunta doon upang mabasa ito. “Things to take note: “1. Maintain order. Lines are strictly enforced; “2. Do not urinate or defecate, as well as spitting; “3. Find the guard in the lobby if there is a dispute; It was just some guidelines. I just casually glanced at the board and move forward. I’m looking for a ticket company, I have already my identifications and the papers that I need. Dahan-dahan lang ako naglalakad dahil hindi naman ako nagmamadali, hinihintay ko rin ang aking mga kasama. Nauna
Epilogue (Ⅰ) “You are?” Marina was confused, all she was seeing is a beautiful garden. Flourished plants and blooming flowers. She could also see a lot of healthy animals. The whole place was so refreshing and warm, full of life. The figure was sitting close to a pond, its back facing her. Marina took one single step, trying to see or observe who it is. The said figure looks like a woman, her chestnut hair was wavy, and she has a flower crown on her head. The woman turned her head in her direction and offer a warm smile. ‘Mother’ That was the first thing that appeared on Marina’s mind. The woman in front of her stirred something inside her, a fuzzy and warm feeling like a mother looking fondly at her child. She felt calm even though she’s facing a stranger. ‘A goddess’ The second thing she thought. The woman’s beauty was incomprehensible, making words lose its meaning. “Who are you?” Marina asked, eyes abnormally calm, and her heart feels more alive. The woman smiled at her
Quietly, the warm golden glow appeared before them. " Oh my.."He approached and as he glared at the woman, his eyes grew angry. He knelt next to her and put his hands on the vile bite marks on her skin. Everywhere is his. When hands were in contact, a golden glow was left, and when it vanished, just healed flesh was left. The memories are what causes a sudden goosebumps and her resolve, so I cannot take them away," he then remarked softly. In his work. With nothing to cling to, perhaps you would have turned into that as well if I had forced you to forget her.His lip crinkled. "Thus, you abandon her painful memories."No. Leaving her sets me in to confusion I still have not decided with." Men struggle to find items. We wake up. Also, we will. She knelt at the woman's side and stroked her blood-stained hand hair before turning to face the woman who was lying on the ground, promising that everything would be alright.Oh, she aches, I can hear the lace crunching. How could he explain th
There she was, a lady, with beautiful blonde hair, tied up with a teal bow, was sitting down at her desk, writing up some paper work on her table. "Are you not afraid?" I asked as i look outside the window. The movement of her pen came into halt. She didn't say anything as she lifted her head to look at me. “Ah…” My footsteps slowly halted as I reach the top of the cliff. The view that I saw what was in front of me was something I couldn’t express properly. Warmth greeted my face as bright red and orange lights filled my face. So this is what they mean. Is this freedom? I watch as the Capital was set into blaze. Screams and cries could be heard, I watch as they slowly fell from their feet. I lifted my head just to see a giant creature hovering the Capital. I have only heard it from the myths and stories, I have never thought I would be able to see one in my very own eyes. “Ah…” My footsteps slowly halted as I reach the top of the cliff. I believe that there’s only a thin line that separates genius and madness. Now I’m starting believe that between humanity and divinity there’s only a short line that separates them. How funny it is. When I want to look back I always thought there’s a big gap between them. I always though that if there’s a thin that would separate something, it would be good and evil. A shame really. Under the pale moonlight, a long braid of silver hair, decorated with vibrant flowers. Calm and collected could be observe from her face, she was looking at the bouquet of floras on her hands. Eyes strained with gentleness and love. So, this is the Saintess of the Earth Mother’s church. For her to descend directly, it only means one thing. Something will bloom or something will wither, just like a flower and plant. “I greet the Saintess of Earth Mother’s Church.” I believe that there’s only a thin line that separates genius and madness. Now I’m starting believe that between humanity and divinity the
“I think there is no need to exchange pleasantries.” I stated as I stared coldly his deep ocean blue eyes. His expression came into somewhat hurt, even though I could be just be wrong on interpreting his emotion. It might be the case, he wasn’t that expressive to begin with. This could be another scheme, wanting to gain my sympathy. “My Lady, please listen to me.” He begged. His voice trembling in sorrow. “It’s rather pathetic to force a conversation for just the other one to listen on a bullshit explanation.” I said without much thought about cursing him. Etiquette doesn’t apply on people I don’t deem to be respected. “We don’t need to talk, I don’t need to listen, we should just end it here. I find it pathetic to engage on a conversation just to occupy this silence.” “I think there is no need to exchange pleasantries.” I stated as I stared coldly his deep ocean blue eyes. Whatever the churches were brewing behind the scenes, it looks like the kingdom’s future is going to be a dark and horrific one. The possibility of war coming to sweep this kingdom is in a huge margin. I took a sip of my black marque tea as I pounder on what should I do. If a war brakes out, I should know what type of war is it. I noticed his face twitch in my peripheral vision.
