Aurora stood transfixed gazing largely at Sage. She hadn't expected he would ever tell her he would be leaving her alone to go on a journey out of the pack. She couldn't believe her ears as well as she couldn't believe that he would ever wish to leave her all alone. "Tell me you are telling lies. You can't be serious," Aurora divulged, feeling devastated.

"I'll be back in some days, promised," Sage vowed as he strode after Aurora who had stomped her feet away. "You know I have to do this," he told her.

"Rae is there. Other shifters are there and you, the Alpha of all people want to leave his pack? Why exactly?" She inquired, still walking away.

Sage suddenly grabbed her arms and pulled her to face him. "I'll miss you," he conveyed and placed a peck on her lips. Aurora frowned at him and pushed his hands off her and walked away.

Sage heaved a truce sigh and watched her leave. He had no idea she would decline his decision. He just prayed she forgives him. He continued into the pack

It was around 8 am and all the preparation to leave the pack had been made. All the shifters leaving with Sage stood outside the pack waiting for him to come out. After about an hour of waiting, they saw him striding out with Aurora looking gloomy by his side. She was still not able to think that Sage would ever leave her alone. It was all surprising that she wished she could do all she could to stop him but she couldn't. He was the Alpha anyway and he had to do whatever he could to stop the pack from being hunted. At that point, she regretted him being crowned Alpha. What if he was just a random member of the pack, would she have missed him a lot? She continued to question herself until they both moved out to meet the fighters waiting for him. They all bowed in greetings to their Alpha and Luna. Sage addressed them and they all took to his speech. Just then he turned to Aurora and pulled her into a long kiss earning an exclamation from everyone present. "I'll be back soon," he whisp

  • My Nerd Mate   Visiting Packs

Sage walked back to his associates and when he got to them he revealed to them what he got. He told them about Fortune skills and the three types of skills. "We must keep a record of these things in order not to miss our road," he told them and mind-linked his Beta. "Where are you?" He inquired."Still watching their training. It took long before they started," Rae told him. "Gotten any information?""Not yet but Fortune fighters don't seem skilled enough to be assassins," Rae answered. "Okay, we're heading back to where the cars are, we should leave in an hour, it's almost dusk. I'll tell others too," he ascertained and cut off his mind to reach others. He mind-linked them that they should meet him within an hour. They agreed and when he ended the chat, he turned to those with him, "Let's leave," he said and they obeyed. As their Alpha had commanded, they all returned within an hour. Sage noticed how tired they were so he asked them to eat at a restaurant and rest a little bit be

  • My Nerd Mate   She Missed Him

Aurora finished training and sharpened her blade like she always does. She finished and tugged the blade inside the belt on her waist. Her acquaintances bowed to her as she made her way out of the field. She hurried into the pack building but when she remembered she needed to greet her grandmother, she veered around and strolled out of the pack building to the parking lot. Even when her cottage was a few meters away from the pack building, she decided to take her car with her. She pulled the door of her Porsche open and went in. She ignited her car key and turned her car on. Then she screeched backwards to reverse and when she had made a complete three-sixty-degree turn, she drove out of the pack building. On her way, she decided to get something for Sora and she had to turn back to visit the market. On getting to the market, she got lots of fruit, chocolate and many more things that her grandmother liked. She loaded them all into her car and drove home. When she got to the front o

  • My Nerd Mate   The Alpha's Smartness

Sage and his men swung around to face the guard that had called them to stop. When they saw the guards had started to call his colleagues they turned back and took to their heels, running their way through Moon pack building while the guards continued to tame them. They split ways to carry on a good fierce run so they wouldn't be caught.Sage continued to mind-link them to tell them when to stop. It was when he lost track of the guards that he headed to a nook around the packed building. He immediately mind-linked others to meet him where he was. Knowing fully well some of them might still be chased by the guards, he waited patiently for their arrival. Thankfully, they all ran to him together with about ten guards chasing them. They got to Sage and they all turned to face the guards. The three looked up at Sage and he nodded his head as he told them to begin something. With a swift, they all leapt towards the guards. They began to revolt against them using their combat skills. The gu

Sage succeeded in reaching the terrace, indicating his men to stay far behind them. While on the terrace, he made sure no one could see him where he stood. The Beta kept looking up towards them but he was able to hide his face and listened carefully to the meeting that had been going on. The Alpha was talking about something he wasn't able to grasp but he tried his best to pay attention to it since the ladies he had gone up with were paying rapt attention to the meeting. After all the explanations from the Gamma, Sage knew what they were talking about. He quickly pushed through his men's minds to link what he had heard. "Moon packs also have been raided by the assassins. They explained how they looked in full detail. It was the same way they had also appeared to us. I think they are planning to get their hands on the assassins," he told them and locked his mind back to focus. • My Nerd Mate   Returning Back To The Pack

The training had ended and Sage called his men into the room they had rented in the hotel. He told them to take their seats and they did while he made a latte for them. After he was done, he also took his seat and sip slowly from his latte as he talked. "What have you got?" He demanded from the others. Rae was the first to speak. "The moon pack also practices the golden combat skill," he relayed and Sage nodded his head. "You got to know?" He asked Sage. "Not really, I just guess they would also practice the skill because it is the top skill and everyone will love to practice it whereas packs will also want their fighters to use the skill since it is a strong skill," Sage answered and they agreed with him.One of his men then decided to talk. "Moon packs have tight security, we find it hard to get into the training even when we use the same strategy as the other ones.""I also noticed that," Sage confirmed. "But we also managed to kick down some guards while finding our way into the

Sage called a meeting and his associates were present to listen to him. They all bowed to greet their Alpha and Luna when they entered the hall. Sage told them to take their seat while he sat down on his throne with Aurora looking all gorgeous and sitting beside him. She had asked him the other night about what he had discovered from his trip and he had told her to join him in their meeting so she could listen to every detail he had gotten from his journey. Sage went on to explain how they got to know about the three combat skills and Aurora was questioned on how she knew about the skills that she was able to teach the pack fighters. "I also heard that there are three skills. All I gotta do is learn the skill from my assistant and teach the fighters," she told them."Your assistant?" Sage queried."Yes, my best friend, Fennick," she answered, plainly trying not to share Sage her scornful look in front of his associates.Sage mouthed, "Oh, I see. So you mean Fennick taught you about

  • My Nerd Mate   Silent Departure

Sage stood in his office, his mind made up. He would leave for the mystic world tonight and nothing was going to stop him.Rae stood before him, his eyes still filled with concern. "Alpha, are you still certain?" He questioned for the hundredth time but Sage wasn't going to be reluctant to answer him. He knew how worried his Beta would be so there was nothing to be upset about. "Yes," Sage replied, his hoarse voice filling the room. "I must do this, Rae. For the Pack's future."Rae hummed. “You mean your future?” He retorted and Sage threw him a glare. Rae sure doesn't know what he was saying. If he and the Pack lose Aurora, wouldn't it be a great demise? “Both your Alpha and your Luna are your future, right?” He stated and moved to the standing wardrobe in his office to pick out a shirt. Thank goodness he has some clothes in the office. How was he going to face Aurora if he was to return back and dress up? Rae nodded, understanding what he actually meant by his words. "I'll start

  • My Nerd Mate   Decision Made From Guilt

Sage stormed into his office as he found the switch on the wall to light the place. Everywhere was silent and the only sound that could be heard was that of a ticking clock on the wall. He staggered his way to his chair located in the middle of his office and slumped himself down into it, his elbows on his desk, head in his hands as the weight of his actions bore down on him like a physical force. The memory of Aurora's shocked face when he threw her across the room kept flashing into his thoughts. The way her eyes, once full of love and trust held fear and disappointment . His heart ached as his mind replayed the scene in vivid detail. He was frustrated. Furious. Downcasted. He had never intended to hurt her that way after promising her he would protect her for his entire life yet, who could believe he would end up disappointing her. His wolf's strength had taken over, betraying his gentle intentions and he wished she would understand the reason why he had to flare up but he knew it

  • My Nerd Mate   Her Seduction

The full moon shone brightly over the Grand Oak, where the Pack elders had gathered including Beta Craig, Sage's father who sat among them, his face showing years of leadership. Everyone looked serious, knowing the meeting was important having heard from Rae why it was organized.Sage stood up straight, looking around at everyone. His eyes met Aurora's, and she gave him a supportive glance from the edge of the clearing. He then began to speak. "Thank you all for coming," Sage began as always, his voice clear and strong. "Tonight, we will discuss our Pack's security. Recent attacks and advice from neighboring Packs emphasize the need for vigilance.” The elders nodded in agreement, their expressions grave. "Though, we've been able to create a certain way to block them from going in but to ensure the Pack's deep safety, we need to do more which is why I have called everyone to come and suggest the best way we can do it better.” Elder Thompson spoke first. “I love the way you do call us

  • My Nerd Mate   Message From The Moon Pack + Jealousy

    |Two days Later|A knock came on the chamber’s door and Aurora, who was busy arranging the room rushed to answer though she already smelt Rae's scent. She carefully opened the door and Rae with his big smile on his face greeted her. “Good Morning, Luna,” he lowered his head as usual. Aurora tapped his shoulder, ushering him into the chamber. “Morning, come in dear.”Rae entered as she closed the door behind. Then he turned to face her. “I came to see the Alpha. A message came in and it's urgent,” he relayed and Aurora nodded, stretching her hands to the sofa for him to take his seat as she made her way into the room to meet Sage who was still fast asleep. She sighed seeing his tired look. She didn't want to complain and yes, she would resist herself from doing that but how could she possibly let him know that he was an Alpha and he mustn't break down. It would be a very terrible thing to have happened. The former Alpha was sick which was why he had to vacate his seat and now Sage w

  • My Nerd Mate   Finding Sources

It was very late that evening and Sage had just finished his training with Fennick when the rain started pouring out heavily. They both rushed out of the field and made their way into the Pack's house. Once they were in, Sage turned to Fennick. “Have dinner with us,” he proposed and he nodded as they both trotted towards the Pack dining room. Aurora has already mind linked him to invite him as she has prepared enough. The guards pulled the dining room open and Sage took the lead. He roamed his eyes around to see maids already arranging their meals on a large ergonomic table and the aroma of roasted meats filling the room. They got to the table and Sage took the crown seat while Fennick took his seat beside him. The large door was pulled open again and Rae entered, rushing towards them. Once he got to the table, he lowered his head in greetings. “Good evening, Alpha, Fennick.” He greeted and also took his seats at the right hand side of the table. “You're joining us for dinner tonigh

  • My Nerd Mate   The Path To Mastery

Sage was more determined than ever. He was ready to master his skills to break the curse that stopped him from fully making Aurora his. She and her mother have said theirs, the Seer has also confirmed it but was he ready to make it slide just like that? Was he ready to lose his mate all because of a curse she knew nothing about? No! He was never going to let it be. Even if it takes ages, he would definitely get to the root of what was happening. Each morning, Sage trained alone and by evening, he would train with Fennick. If Fennick wasn't available, he would ask his mate to do it herself. He practiced his strength, speed, strategy each passing day and he was getting better day by day, surprising even his teachers that they always wondered why he was so adamant and determined to train on the Combat skills that weren't really useful.Everyone shifts into their wolves when it comes to fighting except for guards that train with skills so it was bothersome to see an Alpha ready to master

  • My Nerd Mate   Guilt Of Deception

Sora's eyes locked onto Sage's, her voice barely above a whisper. "An evil sorcerer cast a spell on her because of her mother's wrongdoing," Sora started, her face turning all gloomy instantly. Someone could tell that she was deeply hurt by what happened to Aurora. She added. “My innocent granddaughter knew nothing about the agreement both the witch and her mother had but she's the one suffering from it,” she countered, her gaze lowered to the cup of coffee she was holding. Sage's grip on his cup tightened as she said those words to him. Aurora's mother? Having a deal with a Sorcerer? "I don't understand, Sora. What exactly did her mother do and what bargain did she have with a sorcerer?" Sage asked, his tone urgent.Sora's expression turned grave. "I don't know what happened exactly between them but all I can say is that the sorcerer believed that she was betrayed by Octavia, Aurora's mother,” she relayed. “But I’m sorry, I can't tell you more than this,” she concluded, trying not t

Days passed, and Aurora's hopes for Sage's progress were met with caution. She had no idea what he was up to but she decided to be patient with him. He wasn't someone who could act rashly but the fact that he wasn’t letting her know anything was what was getting at her yet, she chose to be calm for the meantime since she could feel the pressure of responsibility pulling on him so much. She knew he had to stand tall at that moment and also build his confidence to achieve his goals. Meanwhile, Sage started his training with Fennick, making sure he was pushing himself off limits. Luckily, under the watchful eye of his new mentor, Sage learned to harness his strength and agility. His movements became fluid and strong. He mastered the basics skills better and was moving into the next phase. "Fennick, I need to learn more," Sage would always say, his eyes locked onto his new mentor."You're progressing, Alpha.
