Chapter-6

Aaron Malhotra 

Today I left for dance studio early. I was in my studio preparing steps for the song sequence of the upcoming movie of Actor Varun Shah. He is a very good dancer. He will catch each step very easily but the problem is I'm not in the mood to choreograph the song now. I asked the Varun to give me some time and he agreed for my request.  

He is one of my best friends. We all are friends from school time. - Me, Ishaan, Varun, Rajeev. We four are the brothers from other mothers. We all were together until our 12th. After that, we all chose different streams or courses but we never let it affect our friendships. There was one more friend in our group but he is no more. 

I and Ishaan choose to study BBA and then MBA. Varun chooses the Acting and he becomes one of the Best Actor in the Film Industry. Rajeev pursued his passion for Criminal Justice and became a Private Investigator. He has his own Agency which provides the Investigation services as well Security also. 

I'm not only a dancer but an MBA graduate. I’m handling dance studio as well as a family business. Dad is happy with my decision because I’ve accomplished my goal and also handling the family business. 

I was thinking about what mom told me yesterday. I left early without having anything. So after bidding bye to Varun, I freshen up in my room. I left for café to have coffee. I love the coffee brewed in the Beans ‘n Creams.

The other variety of cuisines is so tasty and healthy. They offered various healthy and tasty eatery items. I went there to have my coffee. I was returning after purchasing my coffee. Riya sent me my today’s schedule so I was looking at cellphone walking towards the exit of the café when I suddenly collided with someone. The cellphone was in my right hand and the Coffee cup in the left hand. While colliding with that person Coffee spilt on my hands and a shirt. I caught her with my right hand and made her stand properly. All the time I was feeling a strong gaze on me. I looked down at the person who collided with me. There was she staring at me intently. I shivered to feel her gaze. Unknowingly I moved my left hand and the sudden pain made me hissed. Her trance broke and she looked down at my hand. She was feeling very much guilty. She is beautiful. Her voice broke me from my daze.  

“I’m sorry sir,” She said to me while taking my hand in her hand and brought me to near an empty table. She made me sit on it.  

“It’s ok. No problem” I said looking at her scared face.

“No, sir. Please let me do first aid on it.” She insisted.  I just sat there looking at her.

“Pooja, bring the first aid immediately,” She shouted at someone. That girl Pooja she brought the first aid. Then she told her something after that the other girl went. 

She started cleaning my hand by tissue papers. She also cleaned my shirt.  

Being so close to me was making her nervous but she didn’t back away. She continued to help me. She started to rub ice on my hand slowly and smoothly.  

“Sir, I’m very much sorry for my behaviour. Please forgive me.” She apologized to me. 

“It was my fault. I was looking at my cellphone and walking out. I should have looked out. I’m sorry” I said while looking at her. She applied the anti burning cream on my hand and all the time I was just looking at her only. She is so innocent. She has helping nature. Feeling my gaze on her so she looked up. Our eyes met for the second. Blood rose in her cheeks. She blushed looking downwards.  

“It’s done Sir,” She said to me while standing up. It's done so early. But why I’m feeling like this for her.  I don't know why I can't stop gazing at her.

God this is insane. Why I am feeling like this for mere incident?.

“Ma’am, here it is,” other girl said to her while giving her freshly brewed coffee cup she brought. 

“Sir, it’s your coffee, my apology for the mishap,” She said to me giving the coffee cup. 

“There was no need of it but then if you are saying that it is your apology I accept it. You are forgiven.” I said accepting the coffee and smiled. She also gave me a smile in response. Her smile is so beautiful. I bade a bye and went towards the Exit of the café.  

Before getting into my car I glanced at her. I don't know why my heart made me turned and looked at her. She just got busy in her other customers. I just shook my head.

After the morning incident, I was very disturbed. Many things were running in my mind. I want my future to be like my parents. If I marry her then I’ll be loyal to her. I’ll tell her everything about my mystery girl. I will never keep her in dark. My parents are not only the best parents but also the best and loving couple. They both understand each other's silence also. And I want me and my soul mate to be like this only. 

For my selfish reasons, I can’t hurt my parents. For the girl about whom I don’t know anything except her name and voice, I can’t hurt my loved ones. I may take time to fall in love with her but I will never betray her by loving mystery girl. 

After a lot of thinking I took my decision. I hope I am making a good decision in my life. 

In lunchtime, I called mom. 

“Aaru did you had your lunch?” Mom asked me. 

“Yes, mom,” I told her.  

“So what happened?” mom asked.

“Mom, I have decided,” I told her tapping the pen on my desk.

Mom was silent for a minute.  

“So what have you decided?” mom asked curiously making smile broke on my face.

“Yes. I’m ready to marry her.” As I said this, Mom squealed in happiness. 

Listening to her excitement for my yes and the girl is making me happy. This girl must be unique to impress mom in one meeting only. After that, I became busy in meetings and file works.

In the lunchtime, I got a call from Aaron. After listening to his decision I was unable to contain my happiness and excitement. Looking at my excitement, Shekhar asked, “What happened?” 

“Aaru said Yes to the proposal. I’m so happy.” I said side hugging Shekhar. 

“Oh… so now what?” he asked looking at me raising his brow.

“Can we visit Kumar’s today only? In the evening?” I asked him with smiles. 

“As you wish ma’am,” Shekhar said dramatically. 

In the Evening, Kumar’s Residence 

We both are standing near the main door of the mansion. I ringed the doorbell. Some servant opened the door and told us to sit in the living room. I was looking at the décor of the home. It was classy and homey. The interior designer is very creative. Till that Gauri and Girish Kumar both came. We smiled and greeted both of them. Gauri and I came forward and hugged each other. Both of our eyes were glossy. We introduce to our husbands to each other. I heard that Mr Kumar is a very strict person. We all were talking about other normal stuff.  

“Where is my Angel?” I asked Gauri. She smiled looking at me. 

“You still remember her? I thought you will not remember her.” She asked me.

“She became a beautiful and naughty girl. She went to her Karate Classes. She teaches there. She will be home by 8 in the night.” She continued telling about my angel.

I told her about my meet with Angel. All were listening to me.  

“So you were that Good-hearted Aunty Shradhu told me about.” She said. I nodded.  

“We both liked her at the first meet only but when I got to know that she is my angel and I felt my decision is best. So here we are,” I said excitingly.

“We both want your daughter to be my Daughter in law. I want my angel to become Wife of your Prince Charming.” I continued.

They both were shocked. 

“We are not forcing our proposal to you both. But we love Shraddha as our daughter and we will be lucky to have her as our daughter.” Shekhar said to them. 

“We will tell our decision by tomorrow,” Mr.Girish said to us. 

After that, we all were casually chatting with each other. They also have a Son who is the CEO of Kumar’s technologies. We had snacks with them. Kumar’s were insisting us to have dinner also with them but I said that hopefully soon we all will have dinner together. But today is not possible for us.  

Then we bade bye to Kumar's and settled in our cars towards home. We were on the way of home. 

"I’m very excited and nervous about their decision," I said to Shekhar. 

“Don’t worry. Hopefully, their decision will be positive.” Shekhar said to me.

I went to my home and rang the bell. There stood my mom with a beautiful smile on her lips and welcoming me in the home. Home is the place where you get your peace. 

After a long day when you come to your home that feeling is just unexplainable.  

Mom told me to freshen up and come down for dinner. I got up and went to my bedroom. I had showered and change to a t-shirt and track pants. I towel dried my hairs and went towards the dining room. 

There my family was waiting for my arrival on the dining table. I sat next to my sister.  

Mom was beaming in happiness. My favourite dishes were on the dining table. 

Looking at it Shreya cribbed.  

“What is this Mom? You made all Bhai’s (Brother) Favourite dishes. You didn’t make a single dish of my favourites?” Shreya, my sister said to mom or you can say questioned mom. 

“Cupcake, today your mom is very much happy so to celebrate this happiness she made all these dishes,” Dad said to Shreya. Dad calls Shreya as Cupcake. 

“But why Bhai’s favourite and not mine?” she said. Mom was enjoying all this. The smiles on her face expressing her feelings. 

“Because it’s your brother who made me happiest today.” Mom told her. 

“He said yes to the marriage proposal,” dad said. Shreya was shocked for a moment. Then she squealed in excitement like our mother. Their eyes were beaming with happiness. I'm really happy seeing their happiness for my marriage. 

Mom- dad told us that in the evening they went to meet Kumar’s. Kumar’s said that they will tell their decision tomorrow. 

“Mom-Dad, I’m ready to marry but I have a condition,” I said looking at their curious gazes.

“What is it Aaru?” Mumma asked me.  

“My condition is that I want a simple wedding with close family and friends. It can be a temple marriage or even a court marriage.” I told them about my condition. 

“That's not fair bro,” my sister whinned.

“Yeah,” said my mom and dad simultaneously.

“Guys, listen to me please, I want simple wedding because I have many rivals in my business as well in my dance academy and I don't want to give them a chance to hurt my family at any cost that's why I'm thinking about simple marriage,” I said keeping my fear in front of them. I can't let anyone hurt my family and friends.

“I want to keep my marriage as a secret and don't want to give any hint to my rivals and marriage will be in our village. My family’s safety is my priority.” I continued. But looking at their faces I can imagine their sadness. They have so much in their minds but they have to give up everything for my condition.

“I agree with Aaron,” Dad said. After a minute of thinking about it, Shreya also agreed. But mom was still silent and sad. I went towards her and sat beside her. I took her hands in my hands. 

“Mom, please think about it. I don’t want to harm her anyway due to me. I want to protect her.” I pleaded mom. 

“I’ll talk to Kumar’s first then I’ll inform you.” Mom said with a smile.  

“Ok mom,” I said. I’m happy that mom is not sad. 

After dinner, I wished goodnight to all and kissed mom’s forehead. I went to my bedroom. I was lying on bed and thinking about the whole day.  

That café girl, I don’t know why but whenever I close my eyes her innocent face comes in my mind. I mean I love my mystery Girl then why does café girl’s blushing awaken some feelings in me? This café girl is messing my mind. Slowly thinking about café girl I drifted to sleep.
