Chapter 15 - Mrs. Catherine's Visit.

ELSA ELKINS' POV,

The hours ticked by, a long and sorrowful day was coming to an end. It was dark outside, but it was nothing compared to the abyss within the room.

My day was filled with tears even as I dwelled on that agonizing realization. I was broken and dejected. I had lost every strength to move an inch, cuddled up in my room since I came back from my father's home.
