**Leena’s POV**

Alvin swept me off my feet effortlessly, his strong arms cradling me as if I weighed nothing. My heart pounded against my ribs, torn between embarrassment and a secret delight at his boldness.

"Alvin, put me down!" I demanded, wriggling in his grasp. "I can walk on my own. You don’t have to do this, especially in front of everyone!"

He didn’t budge. His jaw tightened, a stubborn look crossing his face. “No, Leena. I don’t care what people think. Miriam can stare all she wants. All I know is that I’m with my princess, and my princess is you.”

His words sent a rush of heat to my cheeks, and I buried my face in his chest to hide my flustered expression. The scent of him—earthy and warm—was intoxicating.

When we reached the bedroom, he gently set me down. I crossed my arms over my chest, glaring up at him, though my resolve wavered under his intense gaze. "You’re so stubborn, Alvin," I muttered.

He chuckled darkl

Chapter 1 Leena’s Pov “Stop stalling! Get out if you're not ready to get your match!” Someone yelled from the back as I was pushed aside, groaning when my waist connected to the edge of a lone table behind me. I fell to the ground in a heap, clutching my waist. Snickers echoed in my ears making me freeze, but I had to get back in line or else I was going to get pushed to the back and I'd have to start all over again. So I scrambled up, and rushed to stand in the line with the other omegas. Today was the ‘Mate Matching’, a sacred consultation which was held for every werewolf who had come of age. The shaman whom the Alpha had invited would guide us through the ritual, using the moon's blessing to pair us with our destined mate. For an omega like me, this event meant everything. A mate meant protection, stability, and finally, a way of belonging, something I had craved my entire life.I glanced around nervously, the line of Omegas stretched ahead, their expressions a mix of eagerne

Chapter 2 Leena's Pov I had to run. Quickly. I had to get help and the only person who could help me was him. My lover. The one whom I thought I was going to be given to. I passed through the back bushes, careful not to make any noise. Making my way to the back door, I opened it slowly, softly, and then filtered into the house, my footsteps light and airy. “Vin.” I called out softly, frowning when no one answered me. Where was he? I sniffed the air, waiting for his scent to hit me but still, the house smelled stale and dry. Like he hadn't been home in a while. Vin was lame, so he couldn't have been able to walk far. I stepped back outside, sniffing the air until I found his trail, which I followed. It led to a clearing, where the moon shone directly on the ground, so it was very easy for me to see what was going on. I crouched down, using the bushes to camouflage myself. There he was, with three other people, two men and a woman whom I recognised pretty well. She was one of the

Chapter 3 Leena's Pov “Come out now or you're going to get killed.” I froze. There was another person here, there were two. And from the tone of his voice, I was surely going to get killed if I didn't come out. I gulped, rethinking my life choices but at this moment, I truly had no choice but to come out, so I did just that. And immediately I did, I found myself knocked back, my back hitting the wooden wall of the small hut, a groan escaping my lips at the impact. “Who are you? Why are you here? Who sent you here?” The questions came rapid-fire, each one sharper than the last. I struggled to catch my breath, the pain in my back making it hard to focus. My eyes darted between the two figures before me, the one who had killed those people after me and the one who had threatened to kill me if I didn't come out, whose cold, calculating gaze pinned me in place."I… I'm just passing through." I stammered, my voice barely above a whisper, "I needed a place to stay and throw off the peopl

Chapter 4 Leena's Pov “Let me go! You promised to take me to the human lands, why did you bring me here?!” I struggled against Avin who held my waist tightly, dragging me through the gates with him. This was the third time I had tried to escape and each time, I was caught and brought back here. Avin and Kevin had brought me to their pack against my will six days ago. I had no idea that they were leading me farther and farther away from the human lands until the smell of different werewolves assaulted my nose. It was that moment I realised that I had been brought to a land that was filled to the brim with werewolves. “I said let go of me! Put me down! Put me down quickly!” I yelled, however, without a word, Avin leaned down and with one movement, hoisted me up on his shoulders. Stunned, I couldn't say a word at first but by the time I recovered my voice and mobility, I began to hit his back, thrashing wildly against his body. “Runaway, if you don't want me to throw you out of the

Chapter 5 Leena's Pov I walked out slowly, my hands wrung together, my teeth grinding against my lips. I was told to wait outside for Kevin and Avin, and I was doing just that, however, it seems that they were just making me wait for no reason. From where the both of them stood, talking to a female, they continued to glance at me, Kevin with a teasing smirk. Finally, after like ten hours, they came to me. “Are you having fun, Little Runaway?” Kevin asked. “No.” I muttered under my breath, “Why did you ask me to wait for you?” I questioned. “Here.” Kevin stretched his hands out, extending a badge to me. “What's this?” I took it, staring at it in confusion. “There will be a banquet in a few days, make sure to be there. It's to celebrate your coming as guardian of the pack. The servants would be there to dress you when it's time, and do not come late, the elders do not appreciate tardiness.” I sighed and nodded, not at all happy with this. The last time I was the center of attra

**Leena’s POV**As I stepped outside, expecting to meet Ciara and Sarah, my heart sank. They were nowhere to be found. Panic started to bubble within me as I scanned the area, hoping they would reappear. I didn’t even know the exact venue for the meeting with the elders, and without their guidance, I was utterly lost. Frustration clawed at me, and I knew I had no choice but to rely on my wolf senses to track them. Closing my eyes, I took a deep breath, allowing my wolf instincts to sharpen. Their faint scent lingered in the air. With determination, I followed the trail, the soft padding of my footsteps on the forest floor echoing in my ears. My legs ached with each step, and the loud music from the banquet hall up ahead only added to my growing exhaustion. Every beat thudded in my skull like a taunt, reminding me how unprepared I was for this. When I finally arrived, my eyes darted around, scanning the faces of the crowd. Leena's Pov After the banquet, exhaustion weighed heavily on me as I made my way back to my room. The festivities had been grand—music, dancing, laughter echoing through the hall—but my heart felt heavy. The idea of being tied to Alpha Alvin loomed over me like a dark cloud, and the absence of both Alvin and Kevin throughout the evening only made things worse. The moment I entered my room, I kicked off my heels and collapsed onto the bed, sinking into the plush comforter with a sigh.As I reached up to remove my earrings, the sound of my door creaking open startled me. I turned to see Sarah standing there, her familiar sly smile plastered on her face. The sight of her immediately put me on edge. Her devious demeanor was something I’d grown accustomed to, but tonight, it seemed more menacing than usual."Leena," she said sweetly, stepping into the room and closing the door behind her. "What a night, huh?"I turned back to the mirror, trying to keep my voice steady. "What do you want,

Leena's PovI was shocked to my very core, my thoughts spiraling in chaos as Sarah’s words echoed in my head. Could it be true? Could Alpha Avin—the man I was meant to marry—truly have been the one who murdered my parents in cold blood? I paced back and forth in my room, my fingers tangling nervously in my hair. It didn’t make sense. Avin was always kind, always the perfect picture of a noble Alpha. His eyes, dark and captivating, had always held a warmth that made me feel safe. But Sarah had been so convincing. The way she revealed the sealed document, the signature, the king’s ink—it all seemed so real. I sank onto the edge of my bed, my legs trembling beneath me. My reflection in the mirror caught my eye, and I was startled by what I saw. My usually bright, confident gaze was now dulled with confusion and fear. My cheeks were tear-streaked, my lips trembling. How could I face him after this? How could I marry someone who might have torn my family apart?A knock on my door startle

Leena’s pov swallowed hard, forcing myself to meet his gaze. "Alvin, put me down!" I demanded, my voice shaking despite my best efforts to sound strong. But instead of responding, he tightened his grip, his arms firm but not painful. Miriam shifted uncomfortably by the door, clearly unsure of what to do. Her eyes darted between us before she looked away entirely, pretending to busy herself with the bed. "Alvin, I mean it!" I said again, this time louder, my voice laced with anger. "What do you think you’re doing?" His lips curled into a faint smirk, but his eyes betrayed no amusement. "What I should have done a long time ago," he replied. I struggled in his arms, but his grip didn’t falter. "Put me down right now, or I swear I’ll—" "You’ll what, Leena?" he interrupted, his voice a low growl. His eyes burned brighter, a fiery amber hue that sent a chill down my spine. "Run away again? Hide in your room and cry? Is that

Leena’s pov When Alvin and I left, the air between us was heavy with silence. We made our way to the woods, the boundary that separated the human world from the werewolf territory. It was a place of tension and danger, where wolf hunters often ventured in search of their prey. Despite the gravity of our mission, my mind was elsewhere—stuck on Sarah. What gave her the audacity to think she could take Alvin from me? No matter how much I tried to push the thought aside, it kept creeping back. She wanted him, and I knew she’d stop at nothing to get what she wanted. My stomach churned at the possibility. Could she go so far as to hurt me? To kill? I shook my head, trying to dismiss the dark thoughts swirling in my mind. Alvin was beside me, his presence steady and commanding, yet I couldn’t shake the unease. When we reached the boundary, he gestured toward a tree stump where an old, weathered crossbow rested. "This," Alvin said, picking it up wi

Leena’s pov**The Next Morning**The warmth of sunlight pierced through the curtains, dragging me out of my slumber. I groaned softly, shielding my eyes with the back of my hand, but the memory of last night surged through me like a jolt. I turned my head, my heart skipping a beat when I saw Alvin sleeping peacefully beside me. His chiseled features seemed softer in the morning light, a rare vulnerability gracing his expression. Unable to resist, I leaned in and placed a gentle kiss on his forehead. A small smile tugged at the corners of his lips, as though even in sleep, he could sense my presence. I slipped out of bed quietly, the wooden floor cool beneath my feet as I made my way to the bathroom.Staring into the mirror, I splashed cold water on my face and brushed my teeth, trying to shake off the remnants of sleep. When I emerged, Alvin was awake. He stood before the mirror, unbuttoning his shirt. His deep blue eyes caught mine in

Rated +18“You’re panicking.” Alvin crossed the room and reached for her hand. “I’m not,” she lied, keeping her gaze fixed on his shoulder. Was the bed too pedestrian a setting? Should she slink into the bathroom and put on something lacy? How on earth could she ever live up to his plethora of kinky experiences? She didn’t have any whips or chains. No blindfolds or toys. Novelty and proximity were the only things she really had going for her. Should she dial up the “good girl” thing? Pretend she felt shy instead of wanton and feral? “Hey.” He tilted her chin. “We don’t have to do this tonight if you’re not ready.” Alvin tugged her against him and stroked his free hand against her hair before kissing the crown of her head. “I’ll happily sit on the couch and make out.” “No,” Leena said desperately, pulling back so she could bring her free hand up to his neck and hold him to her by his curls. She poured desire into her kiss, probably bruising him in

Rated +18His whole body came to life under the press of her luscious kiss. At the risk of scaring her with the intensity of his craving for more, he tried to school himself into gentleness. He demanded that his body go slow. Tonight, Alvin wanted to show her he was capable of more than she thought. Leena’s fingers threaded through his long curls, and he shivered as she ran her nails against his scalp. Kisses were the hardest thing to fake on set. Alvin had spent hours practicing how to tilt his head and move his mouth so that it looked like he cared. There was nothing performative about the urgency that powered this moment. The intensity of his desire mingled with joy walloped him over the head. Alvin caught her bottom lip between his teeth, nipping the tender skin until she gasped. Sarah was right. He was insane to gamble so much. Too bad he didn’t care anymore. Drugged on Leena’s softness, on the sweet sting of her bite as she delivered payback, Alv

Leena's POV I couldn’t believe I had said that to him. The words had slipped out before I could stop them, and now they hung between us, heavy and unspoken. I had never intended to let him know how deeply I felt—or how much my wolf craved him. Every time he talked to me, her need surged within me, raw and uncontainable, leaving me battling against a desire so overwhelming that resisting it felt impossible. But I had resisted—tried to, at least—until last night. I shifted on the bed, putting as much space between us as I could manage without making it obvious. My body ached to be closer to him, but my mind screamed at me to keep my distance. He was the most powerful alpha, a man who could have anyone he wanted. How would he feel if he knew how much I wanted him—how much my wolf wanted him? Then he had said those words. His voice, low and filled with something I couldn’t quite name, echoed in my mind. “I can’t get over you,” he’d c

**Leena's POV** Dressing Alvin’s wounds wasn’t a big deal, or at least that’s what I told myself as I cleaned and bandaged the deep gash on his shoulder. His eyes followed my every movement, a strange mix of curiosity and amusement flickering in them. I tried to ignore the intensity of his gaze, focusing solely on the task at hand. Once I was done, I stepped back and let out a quiet sigh of relief. “There,” I muttered, avoiding eye contact. “All patched up.” Alvin grunted in acknowledgment, his lips curving into a faint smile. It was the kind of smile that held secrets, and I wasn’t sure I wanted to unravel them just yet. Without waiting for a response, I turned on my heel and left the room. As I descended the stairs, my stomach growled, reminding me just how famished I was. The day had been long, exhausting, and utterly bizarre. From discovering that Alvin was my fated mate to dealing with the whirlwind of emotions that followed, I barely had time to process anything. I hurri

    ### Leena’s POV When Alvin told me the truth about what happened to my father years ago, I didn’t want to believe him. Every fiber of my being screamed that it couldn’t be true. Yet, the conviction in his voice made it impossible to deny. His eyes, a storm of emotions, bore into mine as he said the words that shattered my fragile perception of the past. I felt my chest tighten, and an invisible weight pressed down on my heart. The truth had a way of cutting deeper than any blade. I didn’t know why I felt so conflicted. Part of me wanted to run away from him, from this truth he had just laid bare. But the other part—the one that sought answers, that craved understanding—kept me rooted to the spot. We sat on the edge of the bed, the silence between us humming with tension. His hand brushed against mine, a mere whisper of a touch, but it sent a spark shooting up my arm. I glanced at him.
